I only drove it for a very short time. It was my mother's car. It was the first car she had bought that I actually liked the looks of. She paid a very reasonable price for it being a new vehicle. She gave it to me when my '86 Grand Prix needed to have some work done, but I found a '98 GTP shortly after my daughter was born so we traded it in. She got very little on the trade in value, but the dealer sold the car within a day of acquiring it, before even cleaning it up. It was not a good choice for a family car due to its small back seat and difficulty getting in and out of it. While the gas mileage was good, my GTP got great mpg for being a much heavier car. I wonder how well the Tiburon would have held up compared to the GTP when I was rear-ended at 45 mph. Personally, I am glad that my daughter and I were not in the Tiburon to find out.Dec 01, 2012

140 hp.. non turbo.. in the future i will change the camshafts and i will
reprogramming the ecu again.. it has: exhaust from top to the end and
programmed ecu.. it is red and old but is good.. you must drive it..Dec 21, 2010

i dont like the car only in the winter beside that it a cool car
and one other thing it not very strong motor not alot of
torque and the body let go outside around the corner panels

This car runs great, it is fast, howeverthe back seats are a bit small, lol
They all go through a bit of oil after 100,000km

love it. motegi r7's in 16's, custom black enclosure headlights,
600k hid's for lows, green hid's for highs, 5pd manual, custom
interior work, fully adjustable coilovers, can raise or drop the
car 3 inches.. polk audio speakers all the way around powered
by a polk 200.4 amp, 2 mtx thunder 12's with a kicker comp
400 amp pushing them, hit 126db without it even turned up all

Overall this car is above average. I never have any bad problems, only regular maintenance. It runs great, great handling, great power. Sleek appearance, great sound system, easy to do your own maintenance. Aftermarket parts are cheap and they are many to choose from.Jul 19, 2009

well i'd have to say that i'm a fan of the car for the price i paid for it. but overall its a pretty big let down. i've had a boat load of electrical problems to deal with and barely any of em are easy fixers. i wouldnt rate this particular model anything above average but i'll be fair since it was hyundai's very first stab at making a sports car. I love my car but since I bought it used(with only 86,000) I have had to replace some parts on it, and that happened at bad times when I couldn't afford it! lol But other then that its a great car. Its fun, fast and Stylish! and I get tons of looks! And you can customize it with performance parts, PLUS its not as common as a lot of cars, but that does tend to be a pain when I need to do repairs!Jul 28, 2008

i love the little body style of it, but its a 4cylinder, and for all of your who truly know me know i'm a not a slow driver and 4cylinder just won't cut it for me. Its got an amazing stereo in it...no matter what you're listening to it give a great bump! Its navy blue with metallic sparkles on and racing rims with low pros on it. they are crazy difficult to find. i love my car i just want a newer one. I wish it were a stick though!Jun 26, 2008

i've had my tiburon for about a year now. when i bought it, it had a lot of minor problems with it; the brake booster lines went on me, problems with a leaky fuel pump, and the clutch sticks. but overall, it's been a reliable car, it rides beautifully! driving down the road, you get a lot of second glances.Dec 19, 2007

so my hyundai will run amazing but at random the car wil jurk forward and bounce like this and i will loss all power what i mean is when i hit the gas it does nothing the odd thing is if i put it in nutral it runs fine but put it back in gear it starts to jurk forward and loss power after a while it will stop and start to run fine !!! what in the world could make this happen iv replaced the fule fillter and the spark plugs are fine
