1997 Gmc Serria — i bought it around 2006 and it had 248000 miles now it has 254000 and hasn't had many problems but my only complaints are with the poor fuel economy 11city/16highway and the fact its 2wd because i got no snow traction in the winter but other than that its a good vehicle.

    Pros: Preformance, Quality, and Dependability

    Cons: fuel economy and looks

Great!!!! — I've got 275k+ on the original engine and tranny. I work and tow with it everyday. 4x4 is awesome braking lacking but that's to be expected from drum brakes. Gas is not the greatest but it makes up for it by being dependable. Here's the hint to making it last, oil change every 5k no exceptions!

    Pros: 4x4, the sound

Cons: none. I knew what I was buying

Great Truck Overall, Reliable And Strong Engine, Good Looks, Decent Interior. — I've had the truck since my sophomore year of high school and now I'm a sophomore in college. The only repairs I've made are a new fuel pump, battery, and alternator. The engine has been as reliable as anyone could ask it to be with plenty of power and torque. I love racing mustang GT's with my stock 350 vortec and beating them. It is showing some signs of age, however. The A/C doesn't work, nor does the windshield washer fluid pump. It is rusting above the rear wheel wells and inside the driver side door. The plastic dash is losing its paint and cracking around the bolts. 120K miles and it is still a great truck all things considered. I don't plan on selling it any time soon. 3" body lift with 32" Toyo Open Country A/T's, K&N filter

    Pros: reliable, strong engine

    Cons: interior quality

Powerful And Eternally Reliable. — Strong running, powerful truck that has had next to no problems. Mine has 150+ thousand miles on it and I use it for work and trail driving only, basically i beat the doors off the poor beast and it runs like a new truck still.

Pros: Powerful, good handling, and effective stopping power.

    Cons: Tires are extremely expensive.

Excellent Winter Vehicle — I have had little trouble with the truck, but I bought it as the third owner. Initial investment was $2300. Crate motor $2800. New tranny $1800. The chassis is spotless with over 181,000 miles on her. Slight rust on the bottom of the drivers door. This is my mule.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Awesome power on the new Vortec engine. Unstopable 4WD. Sharp styling on the step side. The blue/green color gets lots of compliments.

Cons: Fuel efficiency of a monster 8 banger
