Great Touring Car — Lovely car great for long distance 2600klm round trip is no hassle not so good in the wet with standard tyre so use a wider quality tyre which huggs the road. The rear air ride suspension is renound for having problembs so much so that pedders have a shocks and springs kit available for this model which is a great way to go. Overall this car is a pleasure to own and drive and great fun

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Space, grunt, comfort, good looks

Cons: Rear suspension, electric window issues, Bit thirsty.

Grace, Space And Pace — Ford Austraila's flagship model for 1997. Sold alongside the similar LTD. Bought her on St Patrick's day '08 to replace my well cared for but high mileage fairmont. Being a 5 litre V8 she has plenty of get up and go on reserve when required and the ABS is also a handy thing to have. Handling is a bit wallowy, but will soon be put right with recoed front struts. The self levelling rear suspension is a novel touch, with the rear of the car rising some 2 inches upon start up ala citroen DS19. Build quality is usual Ford with a few annoying characteristics like tired window regulators and non functioning heater. She is a large car built on the EF Falcon/Fairmont station wagon platform.Very few parts are shared with the falcon other than the basic interior fittings. As far as fuel consumption goes as rarely pay much attention since I don't often pay for fuel. Maintenance wise I'm hoping to have the same run i had from my previous Ford. In summary if you want a reasonably cheap, luxury, V8 this is the car. does everything a vehicle in it's class would be expected to do with a minimum of fuss plus it's perfect for going sideways in a straight line lol the pic is how she looked on the day i purchased her.

Pros: rarity, it's a V8, plenty of leg room front and rear, enormous boot space

Cons: rarity, window regulator issues
