If You Only Want A Car For A Few Years Then This Will Be Good For You — the doors sometimes wont open. And the cd player can only play the radio if there is a cd in if not it plays for a few seconds and then swithces to cd and you ahve to keep swithing back. Other than that its not to bad of a car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: okay

Cons: not all that good of a car

Nice Car — My first car. Only had a bout 100,000 miles on it when I gave it up to get the Sonata. Grey Leather interior. Not too good on gas, but still a nice first car to have. Probably shoulda kept it considering what I could possibly of done to it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: nice color

Cons: bad gas, lost brakes once

Beast — its a good car i had to get a new engine that was caused by stupidity and forgetin to change the oil witch caused the timeing belt to rip apart the engine other then that its a clean gas hog

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons: IS A

I Love My Sandy, Shes Perfect For Me! — at first i hated the rare blue interior but now its kind of cool. no one has a truck like mine. there are two small rust spot that i plan on patching up. rust is so hideous! ugh. The gas isnt too bad if you know how to keep it under 2, take er easy and she'll do well for you in return. repairs are fairly reasonable due to the millions of explorers on the road.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I love that its high off the ground and fun to drive.

Cons: not perfect handling but it gets the job done.

On A Score Of One To Ten(ten Being Best) I Will Give A Overall 5.5 (this Is Opinon Now) — dont waste time on aftermarket parts, 4.0's are a allaround bad motor (design and reliability), like the braking, handling is tippy but sticks to the road for its weight, I do like the appearance (inside and out)! Gas mileage in the 4.0 is about the same weather pulling or not(stay out of od in hilly places) if you do intend on pulling invest in a trans temp gauge. Fun factor i do enjoy it but i can pull a wrench.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: to many pluses and minuses but overall would i buy another one and yes i would if could have a aftermarket motor or the 5.0

Cons: if you are a anxious driver or hammer down driver you wont like it , this will leave you on your roof

It's Ok, But Not The Best Due To Its Age And Gas Consumption — Its old is the main thing. Yeah it still handles fairly well and you would be surprised at how it turns corners. However the gas consumption is pretty bad, mainly because it is a SUV and its old, and back then in 97 not many car company's cared about MPG.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Size and Saftey

Cons: Its age

What I Liike About It — It is a well built car it just has a sucky drivetrain (trany) i would recommend it because i put it through some stuff that some people wouldnt put a 4 wheel drive through . I love driving it is so confortable.

Pros: it is tough

Cons: it has a sucky drivetrain

Explorer — Its a tank with 167,000 miles..... Good Rescue car. Great 4x4, never gets stuck. Good for hauling people or small trailers. Ok on Gas, but not great. Good looking and not alot of rust on the truck. I would not trade it in for anything else right now. Its great for what I use it for.

Pros: good off road, never been stuck,

Cons: Not so great on gas.... 20-25 mpg at best on highway

Not Bad For A Truck, But It Could Use More Power, And A Lower Center Of Gravity — i think it's a nice vehicle overall. but due to a high profile and narrow stance, it does like to lean on fast turns. it has a decent-sized 4.0 v6 which is pretty good on acceleration for a truck but requires quite a push going up steep hills. the interior has well placed switches and a good display of gauges.

Pros: nice handling, decent interior, good cargo room, spacious front seats, suv-looks
4wd

Cons: wimpy giddiup on steep hills, center of gravity not low enough, needs more ground clearance, very aggressive tires needed for snow
