Standard Small Truck — My 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup was a good reliable truck. The performance was mediocre, but I can't expect much from a 4-cylinder motor. The gas mileage was less than desirable at 19-20 mpg. A 4.3 L V-6 would have been a better choice for a power plant. However, it was nice to have a pickup to haul things around.

Pros: Hauling capacity

Cons: Power, gas mileage

Great Starter Truck. — Put 114000kms. on it and it never saw the shop once until I rolled it at 80km/h

Pros: Fun city truck, excellent fuel milage, styling.

Cons: It was a 4 banger with no 4X4.

S-10 are planner trucks. Built very similar but the Ranger sits higher. Lesser inside spacing.

I think.it is a nice little truck. Very reliable had it for two years put 30k miles on it. Never left me sit always started right up hauled some very heavy loads (appliances with trailer approximately 800lbs) No major repairs up to date I am the 2nd owner bought it for 500$ with 87k miles taken very good care of the car. Parts are cheap and they are everywhere so parts are easy to find. This truck is a great starter truck for anyone looking to own a small truck or learn how to work on their own cars
