Awsome Car — I think my car is great! I will admit there are some things I don't like, for instance the power (even though it is a V6) really drags. Also there really is not enough leg room in the back seats, great for small people, but not good for adults. Other than that though, it is a great car.

Pros: Good looking, comfortable seats, moon roof, decent gas milege for an SUV

Cons: poor engine performance, tight room in the back.

I Like It When Its Out Of The Shop — the 4-runner is a good vehicle. my only problem so far is the previous owner didnt pack the bearings and he abused it off road. the result is a 750 dollar repair to the hubs, (which toyota doesnt make anymore.) bearings and the stabilizer shock. overall it would be a great vehicle if you know how to work on it.

Pros: good looking vehicle, automatic trans. great visibility, roomy, roll down
back window and sunroof, traction control, solid drivetrain.

Cons: 16 mpg, leather tears easily, high center of gravity.

A Very Solid Suv It May Not Be The Fastest But Hey It Works! — I have owned this 4runner for 4 years and it has never gave me any problems. I have 22" Wheels with low pro tires which improved the handling. I have a cold air intake and flowmaster exhuast for mods and the car starts every time I turn the key!

Pros: Off road capability, solid motor.

Cons: It is under powered so if you are looking for a race car get somthing else.

Great Vehicle With Crapy Enging — Lets face it Toyota builds great vehicles. But the V-6 engine is a lemon. The Toyota engineers who designed the heads must have been on some serious crack to screw up this bad. Toyota will only fix the problem once. The gasket blows around 100,000 miles and will be fixed free of charge. The new gasket will blow at around 200,000 miles and since they used the same gasket, they won't fix it. So the owner gets to pay from $1,500.00 for a gasket replacement to $3,500.00 for a new?rebuilt engine, which will blow in another 100,000 miles.

Owner for 5 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:20,000

Pros: Great vehicle

Cons: worst engine ever made

Improvement from 1st gen, but not even close to the third generation(96 1/2 model to 2002) Fun truck, good looks, fun to offroad. Major problem with head gasket, all go out, parts are cheap other than head gasket, upgrades available, under power V6
