Dodge didn't see the need to fuss much with its Intrepid, so there were basically no changes to the base STD model. Still roomy, sporty, and incredibly fast for a four-door family sedan, the 1995 Intrepid offered soem pretty good standard features in its base model. A 3.3-liter, 161-hp V6 engine standard, along with 15-inch wheels, tinted windows, tilt steering, air conditioning, and power heated mirrors are just some of the luxuries you don't have to pay extra for.
ABS was optional, as was a 3.5-liter, 214-hp V6 engine or a Flexible Fuel 3.3 V6 in some states. A power sunroof, windows, doors, locks, and driver's seat were other luxurious add-ons. The interior is comfortable and the steering and suspension top-notch, say owners, who also praise the great engine power and capabilities of the Intrepid in the snow and other poor road conditions. High maintenance costs, particularly with the transmission and electrical system, are major drawbacks.
