The 2003 Dodge Intrepid dropped the R/T trim, but really in name only, as its SXT replacment continued offering the 3.5-liter V6 with an upgrade to 250-hp, plus suspension tuning, rear spoiler, and 16-inch chrome wheels to match its performance trim image. Other than that, the only changes to the 2003 Intrepid were color choices.
There isn't much that needs changing to the Intrepid, as it offers a combination of roomy comfort with sporty styling and speeds. Whether the 2.7-liter, 200-hp V6, or 3.5-liter V6, the accleration is quick and smooth. Inside, the cockpit-style layout and sleek black-on-white gauges complement the fastback-type lines and aggressive front end of the exterior. It is a comfortable family car for long rides as well as a thrill-satisfying speedster out on the open road.
The huge cabin and 18.4-cubic foot trunk are admired just as much as the powerful engine and quick handling of the 2003 Dodge Intrepid. Negatives include rear blind spots that hamper parking, exterior noise, and a bounty of repair problems. Some drivers wish for a fold-down rear seat and better gas mileage.

This is an awesome vehicle!! Ive been driving Intrepids since 1999. They are well-dressed and dependable. However, do not loan yours out: people think they are a sports car and will mistreat your vehicle I speak from experience. Mar 19, 2023

The car had plenty of storage for my hockey bags, It handled great and never had a problem driving in the snow. Many people have bad reviews but I really enjoyed this as my first car and would recommend to a friend. People might have a problem parking or backing up due to the size of the car but after a while you'll get used to it.Jul 09, 2014

This car has been a great car to me. It had a couple problems when i got it but since those were taken care of i have driven it daily with no worrys. it has good pick up and handles pretty damn good for a full size sedan. I like it and would reccomned it.Nov 13, 2011

It's a very good every day driver, with the SXT package the pickup and acceleration are very good, the car handles like a champ. Braking is also very good and very reliable. Currently the brakes squeek and it needs an inner tie rod end, and it is on its second motor due to my own stupidity. Gas mileagle is fairly low and cost of ownership can run quite high. The car overall is a very fun car to drive and very reliable.Mar 04, 2010

performance-good motor i have a V6
build-my left front tire squeeks and my bumper thingy in the front underneath hangs a little.
apperance-its pretty nice. its navy blue outside and black inside
C.O- good mileage,neds a little help though

It's been a pretty good car. I bought it used at 84,xxx miles, a little over a year old, and it
ran well. I left the country and it changed hands a couple of times through family, had a
couple of fender benders, but repairs were made and it's still running well enough. I've
rolled over 100,000 miles since I've returned and I'm starting to notice some things.
There's a vibration now when sitting at stop lights, etc. that wasn't there before. Not sure
if it's milage related or because of the accident. My radio also cuts out periodically in the

Car keeps killing battery
My dodge intrepid 2.7 keeps killing the battery, I have replaced the alternator, battery, and tcm fuse.. it seems to be when the car starts to warm up. When it starts the radio starts to flicker and it won't shift... I can charge the battery and it runs good for a while. Please help, this is beyond stressful its my only car.
