Car For A Lifetime... Can't Sell It. — Good looking, confortable car, relatively good driving. Slow acceleration response, low mileage (no more than 6 Km/liter), rather squeaky for my taste. Worst part: forward train b/c the terminals have been changed many times. Good vision from the driver's seat though the mirrors are small. Parts are extremely expensive which makes it a very hard-to-sell car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Confort.

Cons: Costly to maintain

I like its performance, high mileage, driveability, looks, equipment, seats, low revs on highway. etc. What I dislike in it is that the quality is not comparable to other Volvos. I don't like its chas... Read More

French Volvo. By Danger-Dan

Cheap, crappy car. Not a Volvo in it's means but was reliable the time I had to drive it. Worked fine and ran fine. Quite good fuel economy for such a old car with 1.7l engine. On the inside everythi... Read More

Most Surprising Car I Have Owned... By John

This car was a Volvo 460 Turbo, with a 1.7 litre petrol engine. 0-60 in around 7 seconds and top end of (in excess of) 135MPH. Very solid with handling and taught me alot about aggresive driving. It a... Read More

An Underestimated One By Philippe

I should have gone for the turbocharged version, if budget had only permitted. But the 460 GLE I owned was real fun to drive around, and easy to handle. Read More
