Not Bad — F7R engine, Koni & Billstein Suspension. High performance cheap car! The looks is not so bad, but its definetely not the best. Its Old. It has really good acceleration since it is very light and is near 170 BHP. Nice car!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: High Performance

Cons: The looks

Loveable Car That Needs Constant Cares — funniest car in corners, good build quality (we are talking about 1993 building quality) and sporty look. rallying heritage but poor reliability under abuse. Poor fuel economy. Gearbox not strong enough, but parts are easy to find and theyr're cheap.

Pros: superb handling, easy to tune.

Cons: expensive ownership unless you have some mechanic knowledge

:) — This is an easy car to drive! Nice basic layout inside, easy to read dials. I have the automatic so quick it is not but reliable it is if looked after! Easy to maintain and modify as I did to my own Clio!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Simple

Cons: nothing to speak of

Rare, Fast...a Legendary Hot Hatch - The Clio Williams — Clio Williams 1: Classic raw hot hatch from a bygone era. They don't make em like this any more. Still the King, now a Legend, this little car turns heads and kicks ass. You can buy them cheap, run them quite cheap too. Easy to work on or modify too! Excellent track car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Amazing fun, value for money, exclusivity.

Cons: Rust

Best Hot Hatch Ever? — 170 odd bhp per ton always a good starter, but add in one of the best 'lift an inside rear' chassis and you've got the picture. Probably allows a little more exploration on the limit than the classic 205GTI. Great on the road or track, easy on the eye, fairly cheap to maintain and run. Typical French build quality, viz anything over 60k miles and it creaks or rattles a bit, but mechanically bullet-proof.

Pros: Handling, adjustability

Cons: Can bite

1.8 8v Rsi — Quick, Cheap Hot Hatch, little problems like leaking sunroof and the oil cooler leaking into the water, never by a phase 1 Renault wait till phase 2 when some of the problems have been sorted out

Pros: Strong Engine, capable handling

Cons: Typical phase 1 Renault problems

Rust — I would say that rust is the main rival to this car and currently its winning. Great fuel economy though, 45-50 mpg on the motorways, not so great inner-city though

Pros: Fuel economy

Cons: Full beam has just suddenly broke :S
