A 3.0 V6 at 142-hp or 3.3 V6, at 150-hp was the driving force behind soccer moms everywhere, and for such a hefty people mover, it got fairly decent gas mileage, at 20/27 mpg. A well-thought out interior is also a big selling point for the 1993 Grand Caravan. Able to seat seven relatively comfortably, the front instrument panel and consoles are convenient and easy to use. There is storage for just about every kind of object you might bring in the car.
Have a 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan I'm looking at for someone and am kind of at a loss where to go. No gears work. Reverse, Drive, 3 and L do not work. It's not in lymph mode. It just doesn't want to go. I can kind of feel it go into gear when you shift the column but just doesn't move. It has fluid so that's not the problem. The output speed sensor is broken off but I don't think that would cause the problem. What am I missing here?
I've got a 93 Caravan SE AWD and she's cutting out after about ten minutes of the engine running. It runs fine and then it's like the engine was cut but everything else is left running. I can wait about ten minutes and then she starts up and runs for about ten more minutes, then the same thing happens again. I've been told it could be the fuel filter or pump but I want to be sure before I take out the tank and clean it.
My originals crapped out a few months ago. Chry Co no longer makes or stocks replacements. Neither does any parts warehouses. I have checked local scrap yards, no luck. The three or four vans that actually had the rear heat had pipes in worse shape than mine. Any suggestions?
when I get on the freeway the van rpm's go to 5000 at 60 mph. Fluid added it works. 2 days later check gauge light on and it won't dshift into high gear. Problem last year was relay that affected rear back up lights at firewall. How to service the trans? It's a 93 3.3 engine with 190000 miles and has been pampered.
