Tough to beat for a first car. Very reliable and great in the snow. Super visibility. I wish they still made cars liker this. Engine is easy to get around while working on it. Decent power and mpg for it's age.Dec 22, 2014

Really enjoy road trips in this car. Bought it in July 2013 in Florida and drove it to St Paul in late July. AC worked great, cruised at 72mph the whole way, smooth ride, good sound, lots of space to haul things. It is a 1992 GM product so its signature behavior is just that--1992 GM. Front wheel drive so it should be good in snow but I garaged it and didn't drive it this last winter.
Bought it from a friend who's parents died in 2002. Car was originally purchased new and driven in Florida by her parents for the first 32,000 miles. She then stored it in Florida for 11 years before I bought it so I know the mileage is real and the care taken of the car was excellent. I've added 2,500 miles since I bought it. May 27, 2014

Well, from what I can remember, it was not a good car. It was slow and down on power, the brakes weren't great, although the ride was smooth.
It was never reliable, we had to get rid of it because the cost of repair exceeded market value.
Looked like crap, rusty and off white
Good MPG's but maintainence was a hassle

Mines nice since it was owned by old people and rarely used, unlike other like it around here, its rust free, only had 25k miles(@13yrsold) and probably cost half as much as one rusted to hell with 150k miles around here would. haha.Nov 09, 2009

Once you get inside the car, you completely forget about everything that is bad on the outside. The engine is strong and the gas mileage wasn't bad. Too bad my parents got rid of this car when I went to school :/Sep 29, 2009

Engine was the only thing this car had going for it, it was in terrible condition. in the end i had to get rid of it because It needed a new fuel pump and i didn't want to drop the entire fuel tank to replace it, i resorted to selling it to the junk yard after removing some valuable parts.Sep 26, 2009

there is always a fond place in the heart of a car guy for his first ride. I admittedly have nostalgic feelings about this car but... I owned the 3.3L version and it had great performance. I had it tuned to over 200hp very easily but even stock at 180+hp made it a sleeper due to the light unibody construction. I had rust issues because it was an old car that was kept outside but other than that, normal maintanence was all she ever needed.Jul 19, 2008

Bought it off a farm kid. It takes the abuse I put it through, and has been an awesome starter vehicle. It has great gas mileage and a spacious back seat and larger trunk, for those trips with friends to the lake or for a roadtrip of my own. Also has an good stero system.Mar 26, 2008

Got the car from my dad as it was apparent I couldnt use the Trans Am as my winter car. 3.1 V6 160hp/185lbs of torque. 0-60: 9seconds, 1/4mi: 17seconds. Is a great winter car, handles beautifully. In the snow I can kick the rear end out and correct for the turn perfectly. Braking in icy conditions is no problem. 3200lbs car gets off the line quickly with power threw the whole RPM band. Although not the quickest car on the road it can hold its own against the average sedan. Jan 15, 2008
