Can a corroded rear axle mount be repaired? the corrosion is bad. mount is completely toast.

this car is costing too much money too fix all the time ....I have had many problems with this ..its v-6 3300 has 140,000 miles anything from the computor to fuel injector. also injector regulator heater core and much more
I decided not to take it to the shop this time and my car was idle was just a ,little rough had a friend look at it and now it is stalling at lights ....I need to check my firing order 91 cutlass ciera v6 3300 it

i like that it will get up and go. its a beautiful pearl white with blue interior. Ive had it to 3 car shows and s its won 1 of them and ive came in 2nd place for the other two.Jan 04, 2011

Seating - seats eight adults! not bad for a car from the 90's. SUPER gutless... the 3,3l V6 engine has 281,000km's on it, and it shows every one. Deadly reliable, but NO power. Just did the intake gaskets on it, I'm sure that added one horsepower...Nov 30, 2009

My first car. i bought it with 150k on the motor. I drove it for almost 5 years. Totaled it,sold it to my friend who tied it to a tree and pulled the rear end out, bought it back and drove until a little over 260k and eventually the frame just started to rot away. when it went to car heaven the engine was still purring.Sep 14, 2009

I will never buy GM again after owning this thing. I never knew if it would start when I needed to go somewhere. I didn't have problems with it all the time, but generally something cost at least 100 dollars to fix every month. It was like a car payment!Jul 08, 2009

its fast. slow acceleration. bad gas mileage. sturdy. its white. its big. handling is ok. does well on turns. maintenance is somewhat ok. the car is a lot of fun to drive. make sure you have good shocks before going over hills and in pot holes.Jul 07, 2009

Okay I have 1991 oldsmobile cutlass ciera 3.3 liter my transmission won't shift out of first .I check my fluids dey all full .I done change the filter on n fresh fluid on everything. It's making some kind of whining sounds when it acceleration n it won't go in reverse sometimes I have too put it in drive pull up then put it in reverse then it will back up. So I have 91 Oldsmobile, I got it from my grandma. It’s been sitting for a year or so. My grandpa drove it and said it feels and sounds like there is bad gas in it. Before he drove it we automatically put a brand new battery in. Started perfectly fine. Road fine for the first few hours. I drove it straight to the gas station and bought transmission fluid, and coolant. No dash lights were on. After a few hours driving it got a little wobbly, didn’t want to accelerate right away. Like it took a sec to realize I was pressing the gas then jerk. Lacks acceleration going up a hill and kinda jerks. It died once while slowing down to turn, so put it in nuetral and started fine. Notice all that. And my grandpa said yeah it’s bad gas. And to run the tank empty and put in the fuel cleaner and new has to a full tank. Did that. And drove around for a day or so. Only in the car 15 mins or so and the car just dies, and won’t start. I was told it sounds like your outta gas. But the gage is at a quarter tank still. But I was told to put gas in anyways. So added about 3 gallons. Still won’t start. So then I was told it’s probably a fuel pump. Bc it would crank and I could even get it started and as soon as I pressed the gas it would die. So I just got it towed home. Later I try to start it and nothing. No clicks. Nothing. Dead battery now? No. Battery is fine. Bad starter? Don’t know? But now it’s day 3 of not starting I get clicks every once in a while. At first I didn’t hear the fuel pump noise but I do now. But now it’s getting harder and harder to turn the key? Gotta jiggle the steering wheel a little. I’m at a loss. I’ve had the car literally a week. And only used it 3 days. Yes I have checked spark plugs. Fuses. And Almost all wires and connections. I do not have the money for a shop mechanic. So I need help diagnosting the problem. Or even tips that we could try?

91 Olds hesitates and stalls constantly after fuel pump replaced
I have a 91 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera 6cyl 3.3 with 260,000 miles. Had no problems with it during the first 5 months I had it. Drove it 100 miles round trip to work for about a month until I got a place closer (4 miles). Anyways......fuel pump went out 3 months ago and I had to have it replaced. Was having some hesitation and stalling but it would always start right back up. I figured fuel cleaner would help so I added it when I filled up. I drove out of town 60 miles and it broke down halfway home on the return trip. Just lost all power while driving 70mph. Pulled over but could never get it started again. Sat for a month before someone was able to finally pick it up for me. It started right up but died halfway up the tow ramp. Anyways...figured out garage didn't change fuel filter when they replaced fuel pump so I took it to another garage and had that done. They diagnosed the car with a clogged fuel filter and vacuum leaks. I didn't have this problem with stalling until the fuel pump was changed. Sometimes I can make it 20 miles before it just shuts down and won't start again until I try again the next morning........sometimes I can't go 3 miles :(Any suggestions as to what to try next? Would a vacuum leak cause this problem and if so since it didn't start until after the pump was replaced....where should I start looking?
