I like how the parts for this car are usually readily available and their cost is fair. I do like the ride and comfort of it. The only serious detriment is that when something electrical goes south it is not an easy fix like my old 70 Monte or 69 Dodge truck was. Apr 20, 2014

I would reccoment and oldmobile cutlass ciera to anyone
especially if it has a 2.5 4 tech motor "iron duke" or the 3300 3.3 litre v-6
car looked awsome never saw any other 2 doors coupe models like itDec 02, 2011

Great beater car or daily driver car. The 2.8 MFI is actually pretty tourquie. The back seat doesnt have alot of room but the truck is pretty big. Parts are cheap and the car is built to last a long timeJun 22, 2010

I owned an '89 model (brown in color, inside and out) from 1997 - 2002. It came equipped with a 173 ci 2.8L V6, power windows, AC, AM/FM casette stereo. Stock rims, similar to those on the 1986 Chevrolet Camaro Sprot Coupe. It was just the right size for me, as I was a high school student at the time. It was pretty decent on gas mileage, and was good for extended driving. The paint was not of the best quality as GM had some poor results with their auto paints in the 1980's. Most likely due to tha age, the transmission had to be rebuilt in 1999. Car stayed in good running condition until it was totaled in a wreck (I was not driving the car at the time). I still have many good memories of the car. I wish I had a picture of the car, but alas, I do not know where any are at this present time.May 20, 2010

ignition module on my 1989 Cutlass Ciera?
I have a 1989 Cutlass Ciera with 70,100 on it and it runs great except..... when it heats up it will start pulling and stuttering and when I get to a stop sign or light it will stall. Once I pull over and it starts again, which isn't a problem, the rpm's are racing. Last year the same thing happened and the ignition module was replaced and that seemed to work, could that be the problem again?
