This is a 1987 Cutlass Ciera, not 1990. (The cargurus won't add the other years. ie. 1982-1996) I have loved this car from the day I saw it. My grandmother had an 86 Cutlass Ciera, but the motor siezed up and the body was beyond repairable. My parents picked this gem up for $500 with less than 150000km on the odometer. It was laid up 5 months after we bought it because we picked up a differen't car. I wanted the car and my parents gave it to me and I put it on the road in June. I put about 30000km on it in 6 months before the motor blew. I used it to drive me back and forth to University for 3 months and all the highway driving did it's toll on the motor. It's not as easy as one might think to find the 4cyl engine for this car, they've been well picked over and most had the 2.8 in them. The car gets Ok gas mileage, the 3spd transmission isn't much to be desired, mine needs a TCC selonid and pressure switch, this will help with my gas mileage. It rides like a Cadillac, and moves around pretty quick. I miss driving it. The plans for it are to put a 4spd OD transmission in it and a different 4cyl engine. For added fuel economy and better acceleration

My car is beautifully ugly. As we say in Spanish she is "La Fea mas Bella" works like a horse and tries to maintain her status as a fallen diva of Auto World. She has power windows which still work, power steering, great pickup and when tuned up great mileage. I bought her from an old lady who really did only use her to go to church on sundays, only 75,000m on her. I replaced the alternator, the radiator (my fault, forgot to fill it for a while),brakes and the radio isn't working. Her current issues are cosmetic, I rammed her side into a column at Publix, needs paint but mama hasn't got money to spruce her up, but as soon as I get some she's going in for a makeover. I will post pics.

This car will never find a better owner. Unless of course, the designer spilled upon it. Unlikely. It's an Oldsmobile, so how could I not <3 it? Despite how much it has stranded me, I love it to death. I wouldn't even trade it in for some over-rated Lexus. The fact that no one of my age can do something equivalent to my mechanical abilities on a front wheel drive car should be enough of a testament as to how much I enjoy having Bessie, my baby.
