The 1992 Audi 100CS was a front-wheel drive sedan that could comfortably fit five passengers, and its standard features meant everyone would be riding in style. A 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 engine and 5-speed manual transmission gave the Audi 100 a nice zippy energy, its rounded exterior look gave it a nice style, and its sturdy frame, ABS brakes, and driver's front airbag provided safety and security.
It also offered a lot more standard creature comforts than the base or 100S models, including keyless entry, leather seats, leather-trimmed steering wheel, a high-end audio system, and a trip computer in addition to such items as power-adjustable front seats, power sunroof, automatic climate control, and power heated mirrors. Heated front seats and a 4-speed auto tran were available options. Owners love its stylish look, its luxury car trappings, the precise handling, especially in bad weather, and the fact that it drives like a much smaller car, despite being so large and roomy. As always, extremely expensive repairs dismay owners, as do problems with the car not starting and the electrical system.
