The Car Is Decent And Is A Nice Cruiser Thats Good On Gas. — The firebird is sporty and fun to drive, im not very impressed with the v6, but I need a car with good gas milage. I installed a cold air intake and it seemed to breath and take off a lot better then before so overall im really satisfied with the car. Me personally I am all about the 1st,2nd, and 4th Gen firebirds, I just think the third gen is just a cheap version of the 4th gen. Owner for 0 years, 1 months Pros: Gas milage, sporty, nice cruiser. Cons: cops follow you and cheap styling interior. |

I Love My Car, But It's Getting On Up In Miles. — Well, it's my second Firebird. My first one was a red '88, but this one has T-tops! Hehe. Pros: Friends love it. It's a sexy car, what can I say? Cons: Cops love it. I had to replace my [original] water pump one week, and 4 days later, the fuel pump went out. The compressor for my air conditioner is burnt up, so I've been going 2 summers with my tops off- lol. |

Plan On Upgrading It — While back in the day, the firebird's performance was top, today it struggles to keep up with moms grocery getter. Doesn't get good gas mileage. It does get a lot of looks but doesn't have balls to back it up. Styling +1000. However you can pick one up for only $1k-3k. Take 5k and put an LS2 in it and you've got yourself a winner. Pros: Styling, reliability, comfort Cons: MPG, Performance |

Not High In Hp But A Nice Ride Nonetheless — Very comfortable ride with semi-decent gas mileage for a muscle car. 170hp stock but with my upgrades has around 200hp. V8 5.0L dual exhaust 305 cu in engine - durable Chevy small block out of a buick roadmaster. was made to rival the early camaro Pros: Pretty fast 0-60...7 seconds or so Cons: 60+ acceleration is much slower |

Arrest Me Red And Pull Me Over Pipes — really no dislikes just a weekend cruiser good hobby car. low maintance reliable. strong motor. gets lots of attention at car shows. and else where. liked by young and old' my wife even enjoys driveing it. as a grocerie getter. or to cool off in the summer Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: fun to drive handles great t-top adds to the ride and attention Cons: as with any t-top that old there are minor leaks |

The Only Complaint Is The Need For More Power To Compete With All The New Cars — I love my car, handles great and is alot of fun to drive! but even with the 305 HO and a full flowmaster exhaust, its pretty slow. quick enough to fight off all but the best imports, but still pretty slow. That and the tranny was built to back up a 4 banger, and even the 300ftlbs my pathetic 305 makes, it doesnt last more than a year or 2. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: too many to count Cons: not enough power, tranny is really brakeable when you drive it hard. |
