Work Truck — Back home, I drive my dad's old 91 Chevy Silverado. Its dependable, we have put about 350K miles with the stock drivetrain. I love the steel body work and the engine is great. However, it drinks gasoline like its going out of fashion! The 5.7l V8 has a ton of aftermarket parts for it. This truck can be completely redone to fit you needs. A rebuilt truck would offer the great low end torque that this bad boy had new.

Pros: Low end torque and dependablity.  Cheap safe vehicle thats easy on insurance.

Cons: Poor steering, poor MPG, and poor brakes. The ride quality isnt the best either.

Nice Truck, But The Transmission Sucks — Its been a reliable rig. Although the rear end whines even after rebulid, and the tranny howls even after rebuild.

Pros: Reliable

Cons: Not the old Chevy I used to stand behind and defend. Lets not even talk about the paint issues I had with this vehicle!

Pretty Fast Truck. — Base model truck with a 350, dual flowmasters, and a 5 speed tranny. I think that pretty much sums it up.

Pros: 350 engine.
Fast.
Sounds good.

Cons: Spray painted black, haha!
Pretty ugly.

Great Truck Considering It's Age, Very Well Built And Many Uses Year Round! — The 5 speed manual is fun to drive and offers many practical uses. Though it somewhat lacks in power, it is more gas efficient than the V-8.

Pros: The V-6 is better on gas, Well built heavy duty construction, 5 speed, very large cab, easy to repair

Cons: Slightly under-powered

Comfortable Roomy For All 4x4 Battle Wagon — Overall its a great truck especially with all the stuff we all think we need to drag along with us wherever we want to go..Also if the going gets tough it is able to deal with it with out haveing to get out of the truck. Also has front and rear air-conditioning,to help with that fuel mileage, but in for-sure comfort!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: able to go where no man has been recently,4x4 autolock hubs power everything and strong enough, heavy enough with the power to do what you want, also smooth ride, specially with weight.

Cons: expensive to drive, but good for long haul,it does have blind spots but i drive big rig im use to it

Love It. — Its a 305 automatic. 700 r trans i think. Its a stout motor, not too fast, but holds its own. I just bought it last week, but so far i love it. Its roomy for me. And extremely comfortable. I plan some mild engine mods like headers, and k&n filter. I also plan to paint it and put some new lights/bumpers etc. on it. I bought it with new(radiator, hoses, exhaust, etc) I've put on a new (starter, inner door handle, mirror, brake pedal pad, belt, etc) Also pulled a non working alarm, and some other odds and ends. Its a perfect running truck, i love it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very roomy

Cons: None
