Best First Car Ever — 2.9L, Manual, 2WD. Perfect car to learn to drive in... in CT. In the winter. You learn to drive very quickly when there's no weight over the drive axle. Sold to the stealership for $600 when my folks upgraded. I miss this truck. Red pinstripe, big towing mirrors, replaced heads, because they cracked instead of the headgaskets going. Pros: Hard to get yourself in trouble with Cons: Don't have it anymore. |

Ford Ranger Custom — Old but trusty! I have used it to haul everything from airplane parts to crushed gravel and everything in between! It's a basic little no frills truck that I use just to get jobs done, or when gas prices rise! It gets over 300 miles to the tankfull thanks to it's manual trans and power NOTHING! Pros: Sturdy, simple and won't die even after 110,000 miles. This one's a keeper! Cons: Paint is peeling due to bad factory application. Thanks Ford! |

A Real Beast Of A Little Truck — The 4.0L OHV is one hell of an engine, nearly indestructible with plenty of power to spare. When I bought it, I could tell it had been driven hard and partially neglected. A can of restore and a cold air intake was more then enough to solve the problems. I've had this truck for a year now, and it has never let me down. Highway mileage is impressive, and it's decently quick. And there's no doubt when you get in, it feels like a truck should, and trust me when Mother Nature's fury comes bearing down on you, the four wheel drive with the Traction-Lok limited slip comes at Mother Nature like a spider monkey! A little sand in the back and it powers through ice and snow like a drive through the park. GOD I love this truck, and I have no plans on selling it. Ever. Pros: The 4.0L is a BEAST! Reliable, unstoppable in 4x4, feels like a truck. Cons: A little rusty, |

1990 Ford Ranger — You just can not beat an old ford, its very reliable, gets decent gas millage, looks above average for its age( self painted). Its got the power to spin tires and has posi-track, causing great burnouts. Its definatly broken in, making it a very comfy and relaxing ride. Eats dodges for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Pros: its a ford Cons: makes too many other vehicles look like sh*t |

Been Around The Block... — I've had a good 10 years with this truck. Only let me down once and it was just the battery. I should rate it higher in performance because it actually handles and stops great for a truck, yet its lack of acceleration really is a deal breaker. Pros: 158,000+ miles, no rust, still runs great (Just SLOW) Cons: Possibly the slowest vehicle I've ever ridden in. :) Even lost to an '85 Dodge Rampage. |

The Ford Rangers Decent But Isn't The Best — It's a nice truck if you don't want to pay to much for gas, can't haul very much but it's still a truck and not a honda :) Pros: comfortable seats, good leg room, good on gas Cons: rear seats are terrible, rangers are known to rot inside out, acceleration, stock speakers are known to blow. |

Good Solid Truck, Just The Basics. — 2.3L I-4 and 3.08 gears? What where they thinking? Upgrading to 4.10's. Installed a tach, Explorer power seats, (2) 8" subs powered by Sony 500w amp, 3" body lift (not me), 17" summer's, and more. Pros: Great gas mileage, okay power Cons: No a/c, and way too high geared |

A Very Nice Little Truck. Would Recomend To Anyone For A First Vehicle. — Only had this truck for a little over a month and am loving it. runs pretty good. drives good. looks decent for being painted with a spray can. has had minor issues, but nothing extremely hard or expensive to fix. gets good gas mileage. fun to drive, haven't had the chance to take it off-roading yet. only paid $650 for it. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: I love almost everything about it except for a few minor things. Cons: the fuel gauge does not work. and a/c needs work. |
