Quick Car Good Handling And Easy To Use. — It is a quick little car even for a none turbo and a two wheel drive. It only cost me around $500. Very good handling, It is very fun to drive and it best to shift from 3rd to 4th because you can feel the power from the small 2.0 L Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Quick, Cons: Not able to carry alot ![]() Looking for a Used Talon in your area?CarGurus has 1 nationwide Talon listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Loved It, Would Own Another In A Heartbeat! — Generally had good gas mileage. Needed repair from being miscared for. I miss that car, it handled well and got me where I needed to go without hassle or breaking down. Only needed axles and bearings and that was due to a horrible previous owner. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Sporty. Cheap/Easy to fix. Cons: Needs special parts to be able to handle like more modern cars. |

Roger's Talon — For those who don't know the DSM cars, Eclipse, Talon, Laser. They are great tuner cars, but very finickity. They have a habit of breaking, thankfully, not major components, but enough to make life a constant challenge. As for tunability, they are great. Some simple add-on parts and you can start to pull big HP's out of them with no major damage to the wallet. I've done the suspension and rear drive. My Talon is a AWD and now has a '92 4 bolt axle/LSD rear end on it. KYB AGX adjustable all round, combined with Eibach pro springs. Manual boost controller running about 15 PSI. Symborski shifter mods. K&N filter, with MAF mod's. Getting ready for intercooler and Intake pipe upgrades and then I'll have to do some fuel upgrades and new tires and that'll be it for me. Pros: Cheap Go fast add on's Cons: It's DSM of course. |

Car Rips When Your On It, Boost Never Gets Old, Awd Snap Is Always Fun. — The pictures tell pretty much the whole story... car sucks at everything but going straight then it owns, specially out of the hole... don't get one less you have deep pockets, you won't spend much to make it fast, you'll be spending it on just keeping it running. No one seems to forget a quick take off though... Pros: fast, strong motor, stable at high speed Cons: doesn't corner well, doesn't shift well |

Wonderfully Awesome--wish I Still Had It. — I owned this car before it became really popular. One of a trio of sister cars (Talon TSi, Mitsubishi GSX, Laser RS), it combined great handling, luxury, practicality and looks into a phenomenal package. The 4-cylinder turbo combined 195 horsepower with pretty good mileage. The all-wheel-drive was simple but worked very well, tracking through corners like it was on rails and out-performing 4WD vehicles in the snow (if it wasn't too deep). The heater/defroster was one of the best I've seen, blowing heat within a couple of blocks of driving on a cold winter day. The A/C worked well on the hottest days. It had power leather seats, a small rear seat suitable for kids, a removable sunroof, pop-up headlights, cruise-control, cd-player and a host of other options standard. It was very reliable while I had it. My only regret is that I didn't keep it. Best car I ever owned. Pros: Great performance, excellent traction, best winter car, fun. Cons: No passenger airbag. |

The only problems ive had is that the slave cylinder is going out, but that was passed to me from the previous owner Pros: cheap, good performance Cons: not really any except looks could be better |

Fast As Hell, But You Have To Know How To Work On Cars. They Break A Lot — These cars can be made to go very fast very easily and cheap. The only thing is they break a lot and if you don't know your way around a car, you should not own one of these. Pros: Turbo AWD Cons: It Breaks a lot |
