Bomb — The Nissan 240sx is a great little coupe for a low price. It has a 2.4 liter in-line 4 motor called the KA24E. Unfortunately Nissan did not make the DOHC (KA24DE) until 1991. This motor produces 140 hp with 152 lbs of torque. In the year of 1989 the car's msrp was about $14,000

Pros: Great RWD car for cheap.

Cons: Lacks the hp it deserves

Great Car, But I Bought It In A Condition Where It Needed Alot Of Work — Car is a blast to drive, handles well. Decent on gas. Great aftermarket support.

Pros: Aftermarket, RWD, Lightish

Cons: interior, I4, no LSD

My First Car!!! — I liked this car a lot, it has a fairly modernly styled interior for an '89. It's sporty but comfortable. The engine and drivetrain are solid and is very fun to drift, with the torquey 2.4L I4.

Pros: Quick, handling, styling, torquey, RWD

Cons: RUST, only SOHC not DOHC

Not A Bad Car — Car was ok, rust is awful on those cars thus. The engine is very torquy and was one of the most pleasant ones to drive. Could actually let go of the clutch from a stop without pressing on the gas and the car wouldn't stall !

Pros: Very torquy, very fun to drive. Looks is funny but still not that bad. "Sleepy eyes" mod is hilarious. Timing chain.

Cons: Rust is a big ouch on those cars... And the 2.4 SOHC has an average fuel consumption...

Best Car I Think Ill Ever Own — amazing handling, even on stock suspension, and twice as good with the Tein suspension. pretty good selection of parts for swaps and upgrades.

Pros: handling, braking, semi-rare, smooth

Cons: imo none

Dedicated Track Car. — This is a fun dedicated track car built from the ground up starting in 2004. The car was manufactured in 1989 and the design of the car was used up to 1997 in Japan with minor modifications to the exterior and powertrain. Overall this is a great car that is fun to drive that was ahead of its time in terms of design and has a large aftermarket support that anyone could love.

Pros: Lightweight, large aftermarket support, rear-wheel drive, and design was ahead of it's time

Cons: Not turbocharged stock in the US market.

Single Slammer Goodness — Well, the car currently has Nissan's 2.4 liter KA24E "truck motor", as some people would refer to it as. Stock, this motor is good for getting you around town, to school, work etc. Unfortunately, there is a lack of power to the wheels. The motor produces roughly 138bhp, and there is only enough power to chirp 1st gear. The handling of this car is excellent. With Megan Track series coilovers, the car hugs the road as well as a Datsun 510. Also having a locked rear differential, this setup makes easy for drifting. At least, in the rain it does...

Pros: Looks, handling, JDM Tyt3 y0 drift points

Cons: lack of power
