First Car — Loved it. 14.0 in the quarter with stock, 200,000 mile 305. Met an untimely demise.

Pros: Fun to drive.  Reasonable gas mileage.  Good first car.

    Cons: Crushed a month ago.

Piece Of Junk — this car blew a fuel pump about every six months and it was a pain in the #$# to fix

    Pros: fast and small

    Cons: fuel pump problems

Original Iroc-z — This had the biggest IROC engine package available. It had the 350 TPI H.O. It had 275 horses with a chip upgrade but had over 375 ft.lbs. of torque!!! This baby would get up and leave in a hurry!!!

Pros: great, fast, sports car, fun to show off and dominate those little japan toys!

Cons: chip modded 8cyl = gas sucker

It Was Great Before I Had Kids — fun car rear wheel drive was great in the winter(for having fun...not to get anywhere)

    Pros: flashy, nice looking, power

Cons: didn't do my driveway well in winter, had to back up the driveway

This Thing Moves Like A Bat Outta Hell — Originally came with a v6, pulled it out and put in a 350 small block pushing over 350 hp. 5spd manual, new springs all around lowering it an inch

Pros: fast, one of the better handling muscle cars out there, one of the easiest cars for an engine swap

Cons: not exactly a good winter car

I Love This Car. — My baby - one hell of a first car. I still think the interior looks cool, and the exterior is gorgeous. The design will never seem old. The t-tops are great in nice weather, and fine when they don't leak (this happens when it storms heavily, generally). This is, all in all, a great car.

Pros: Looks awesome, t-tops, V8 power, great handling

Cons: T-tops (leaks), not fast enough...

Probably One Of The Funnest Cars I Have Driven. — Off the line taken down to Cali, to get the convt. package on it. Extra $5000 for the conversion at time of purchase, not many done this way, b/c 87 was the year they brought the convt back.

Pros: Sweet ride, sounds great, great show car, sunday driver, not much else to say

    Cons: none

Sometimes Hate It...mostly Love It! — I have never been a Camaro guy. This 86 was sort of thrust into my lap by my father-in-law. I rode around for 2 months, with For Sale signs on it, to try to sell it for him. After this time I took the signs to him and said 'SOLD!' The car is completely original...116000 miles. 305 'H' 4 speed auto. Steel wheels. A/C. AM/FM Cassette (still working). Handling is excellent with limited body roll. Acceleration is OK, although the timing retards below 1500 RPM and the valves rattle and the car seemingly has no go. This is the Hate It part of the car, (as well as the fact that I'm a smoker and cigarettes tend to loop back into the car, when I discard them, and hit passengers). I pull about 15 miles out of every gallon of regular gas. Overall, it's just a fun daily driver.

Im In Love — I bought my 86 IrocZ after owning several 1978-1980 camaro's and I did like them but after driving the 86 Im in love with it the way it looks and drives is the best I have ever had I bought it with a 305 but I wanted more power so I built a 350 for it and got what I was looking for I would not sell or trade that car for anything im 100% HAPPY with it
