It Was My First Camaro And It Was My First Rebuild — It was a very good car, very fast, there was a problem we had with the transmission but nothing major.

Pros: eye catcher

Cons: hard on gas

What Was All The Fuss About With These? — It was okay, a bit of fun, nothing to write home about. Good for a first "muscle car". Glad we sold it!

Pros: It was red V-8? LOL!

Cons: This car was a money pit!!! And it was an automatic, blah!

The Car Is Worth The Time If You Have The Money For It. — If you want a rumbling god this the car for you. It is definately a great car like I said if you have the money to take care of it.The car needs nurturing if you have the same engine. If you replace it i recommend the LT-1.

Pros: Road Gripping, Noticeable, good sights and with the new foglights added.

Cons: Not extremely spacy the engine will always need the most expesnive of chemicals. to use including fuel

Perfect Fit — Looked for years for an 85 to make a project car out of. Tripped over a one owner that was well mantained and all original. Son and I are working to get it back to its glory. Motor work complete. Working on interior now. Then back to blue and gray Z 28 paint scheem. Update. ---- Almost traded my 1985 z28 today for a beautiful 1980 corvette. Deal was almost a done deal but as we were test driving I got a real sick feeling in my stomach as I seen someone else driving my baby. We pulled back up to one another to sign the titles and I had to back out. I could not do it. Have had that car for 16 years. Told wife to write a note on the title "remember the day you almost traded me for a vette". This way if I ever think of doing it again maybe I will remember the sick feeling I got today. Lol. Wife says I a softy. Lol

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The 85 is a great looking model and fun to drive.

Cons: Its not finished yet

Youll Get Your Moneys Worth — it is a monster under the hood it has a 5.0L V8 that produces around 150 horsepower if I remember correctly. It has never broken down in 27 years and runs and drives great, it looks very aggerisive in the front, and has a reasonable ownership cost. but most im portantally it is just simply amazing to drive.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: faster than the speed of light

Cons: not too much room in it but thats not why you buy a camaro

She's A One Of A Kind Hot Rod Camaro — This is my 85 Z28. It has a 400 small block chevy with a T56 Borg-Warner 6 speed, Eaton Posi, and 3.73 gears. Exterior - Custom SS Hood, 5" rear spoiler, Billet grill, EnergySuspension bushing kit, Hypercoil lowering springs, Lakewood lift bars, and 17 x 8 Dante wheels on BfGoodrich KDWS Tires. Paint is Dupont QuickSilver with YearOne clearcote. Interior - New carpet, headliner and sun visors from YearOne. T56 Hurst Shifter ball from Hawks Third Gen. I've owed her since my senior year of high school and she didn't always look this way. I'm the 2nd owner of this Z28. I finished up most of the work in late 2006. She turns heads everywhere I go and the sound of the custom made duel exhaust tells everyone she's mean. Performance wise I'm not gonna to get too detailed on but she handles curves like a slot car and has more than enough Torque and HP to put ricers in their place.... Behind her!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Like nothing I have ever driven. Pure sex on wheels

Cons: 3rd gen interiors have way too much plastic and they squeak.
