Yet Another Project. — What an amazing truck. Mine is a 1985 K-10 Scottsdale with 1-ton suspension underneath. Gives it about a 6" Suspension lift. In the process of putting on rust free cab, front clip, and possibly box. Once I pull off the bodywork I will have the frame blasted and everything undercoated. This particular truck is really done up for hauling and off roading. It has a carburated 350 out of a '77. The powertrain includes a 700R4 overdrive transmission, a corporate 14 rear diff and a dana 60 front diff with 456 gears. I love this truck to death.

    Pros: The drivetrain is immaculate

Cons: The money I need to dump into it to make it up to a show truck like i want to.

85' K10 With A 350 Iroc Z Engine — It is my first car. It has a IROC Z engine with Tuned Port Injection, Hedman Headers, Super Lift 4'' lift kit, dual Flowmasters, 33'' Mickey Thompson Super Swampers, Mickey Thompson Classic II rims, Custom rear bumper, 91' K5 Blazer front clip, 40/20/40 front seat out of a newer Silverado, GT Grant steering wheel, Pioneer stereo, Custom running boards, Custom Green and Gray tu-tone paint, and had a ground up restoration a few years back.

Pros: Fun to drive and it is a real head turner. This has been my dream car since I was 10. No rust at all.

Cons: I can only get three people inside including me. Not great on gas

I Love My 80's Chevy, Shes My Baby — Love the truck. Cant beat an 80's Chevy, they're very tough trucks and they dont build them like that anymore. It is an old truck however so it does break down from time to time but these trucks were built primarily from '73-'87 so parts are available everywhere and are usually pretty cheap and easy to install yourself. My truck has seen its share of rough weather and jeep trails but has yet to leave me stranded.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Parts are always avalable and they're great trucks if taken care of.

Cons: Its an old truck so parts are bound to break, pretty bad on gas
