Happy 20th birthday, Mustang! And even happier 20th Mustang Anniversary, consumers! Ford celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Mustang model in style, with two powerful machines released midyear: a special 20th Anniversary GT and the Mustang SVO (Special Vehicles Operations). The SVO was quite a bit more expensive than the regular mustang, but achieved 175 horsepower and went from 0 to 60 in 7.5 seconds.

The 20th Anniversary GTs were available with a 3.8-liter V6 or a 5.0-liter V8. Both were very powerful and popular among consumers. The turbocharged Saleen rounded out a nice line of trims for this year with 175 horsepower available to its drivers.

Been in the family since new, always reliable for me, slick shifting automatic transmission, great all around car. Smooth running V-8 power, power steering and brakes make for a easy to drive car. GT 350 stripes lets people know its special limited production.Jan 28, 2015

Sporty, cheap roomy interior for sporst car. T-Tops are more secure than a convertible. I owned a Corvette and the Targa top was a royal pain. T-tops are fast and easy on and off and don't take up much cargo space.Jul 27, 2014
