this car was one of my favorites it was quik as all hell up to about 80 then it was done but it would get there in a heart beat. had a short shift kit dropped 3 inches, fart can straight pipe. toyo tires that loved to hook up. i could rev line this car drop in third and roast them up to speed, tapping the gas woul put it in rev. starter was crap and car liked to over heat, but its a vw got to expect it.Nov 14, 2010

This car is GREAT! It's very quick, light, and it handles like a go-cart! The only issues I've encountered is (with age) little things start falling apart, such as the sunroof no longer seals properly so water gets inside during the rainy season. I'm having some problems with some of the gauges going nuts, and problems with the locks and doors. Those things aside this car is amazing to drive!Apr 05, 2010

Performance- 8 sec. 0-60, typical braking, impressively quick in turns. Build quality- The car is a great low maintenance performer. Cost of owner ship- Great gas milage about 35 mpg. Fun factor- The car is a blast to drive.Mar 16, 2010
