1980 Volvo 240Review

Review Title? — I only like 242's 4 doors is way too many, 2 is just right. This car needs alot of work to stick with any new car on the road. The only nice thing is that 250hp is easily obtainable through later model OEM Volvo parts or various parts from other european manufacturers that were sharing concepts in the 80's. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It's a 30 year old Volvo that's stripped down with a manual trans and it get's 28+ mpg on the freeway. Cons: It's 30 years old and sounds like a tin can! ![]() Looking for a Used 240 in your area?CarGurus has 22 nationwide 240 listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Simply Unique — A fun and unique car - Not a day goes by where I don't regret selling this car :( Pros: Smooth ride, safety, comfortable on long trips, great style with the turbo wheels, easy to modify, no power steering or brakes - a challenge to drive fast, invisable to speed traps (brown volvo sedan!?) Cons: Lack of power means a low top speed of 85mph, slow off the line, gas mileage, performance in the snow |

Wouldn't Sell It For The World. By Sam
The secret is what's under the bonnet... It's what you would call a "sleeper". This 240 is definitely a keeper, it's resale value is crap but it's sentimental value is through the roof. A dream car wh... Read More

Volvo 240 By Predeswaran
I am indeed satisfied with it's performance. It can do burnouts and can still defeat many other cars in the market. Furthermore, it can also drift perfectly. The build quality of this car is serious... Read More

Ok acceleration. Good braking. Handling is Amazing. Squeaks a bit. Has needed about $2600 worth of repair. Outside looks like your classic four-door Sedan. Very sharp. Inside is plain. Gets about 25mp... Read More
