1969 Ford Mustang Coupe RWDReview

1969 Mustang Coupe — Timeless classic. My dad bought the car off of my friend's brother and it sat in the backyard pretty much unused for over 15 years. Two years ago I decided to get it fixed up thinking it would just take a new interior, engine rebuild, new paint and tires. What actually happened was putting in all new equipment.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun to drive, fun to look at, fun to own.

Cons: GAS

69 Mustang — I need to find power steering parts and dashboard needs improvement, it looks great inside and out. I need to find better rims that suit the mustang, maybe some 05' GT rims. Overall car is great but im looking for more parts to add

I Will Love It When It Is Done The Way I Want It. — It's a 41 year old car. It needs a lot but hopefully soon I'll have all the mechanical stuff sorted out and be driving it. Changing the interior somewhat with modern seats for more comfort. Plan on changing the entire drivetrain to something modern and fuel injected.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun

Cons: Rain

Rockin Green Machine! — Stanger is the bomb... had her for 29 years! She took care of all us gurls growing up and still did Helmick hill every weekend! ACDC you shook me all night long shoved in the tape deck by TK, Heid or Denise then hit the hill at 90 catch a little air grab 2nd take the corner miss the tree turn around and do it again on the way down! Ha the good ole days! "No tamin this horse"!

Pros: She has a heart and only starts for me or my friends that are true and loyal & takes care of us.

Cons: Not a damn thing!

Classic Muscle At A Bargain Rate. — what can I say its a 40yo car!?! The brakes fade quickly (despite having front discs), the handling is horrible even with upgrades, the gears are NOT suited to performance and it has rust issues. BAD. Not to mention the build quality on these muscle era cars was ... um ... very so-so. Oh and w a carbeurated V8, and no overdrive tranny this thing is a gas hog ... Im lucky if I get 13mpg. Ive owned toyotas, subarus, hondas, datsuns, and a few other older american cars but no car can replace my mustang. I wouldnt trade it except for another muscle car or Mustang ... well unless it was something I could sell and buy another mustang haha. Hell YES its fun to drive!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its a Mustang ... duh!

Cons: If u want good gas economy, something that handles really well, or something thats strictly point A to point B, this is NOT your car!

Candy- 1969 Mach I — Candy is pure muscle. She looks horn in every angle. The sweet sound of the V8, the wide deep dish wheels in the back and those fat, fat, fat rear quarters just set of the whole look. When it comes to muscle cars, you dont really care for mileage, because it aint very good.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The feling off driving a classic muscle car

Cons: Speed limits!!

I Drive Her Daily...well Used To. I'm Not Dumb Enough To Take It To College With Me. — My dad and I spent 7 years restoring this thing from well beyond totaled! It's sharp now! So much for my college fund. I love the wow factor of when people see me drive around in it. Cruising with other classic cars is a blast too. Nothing like dragging the strip at 1 in the morning!

Pros: Driving around and seeing everyone's eyes follow you for a block is great!

Cons: As with all old cars, you are never done tinkering...

Muscle Stang... — The car has an amazing acceleration, the braking could be a little better, but that's normal for a car from 1969. The paint is still ok, the original red, but a new paint job is coming. The car is big fun to drive with, only it drinks a lot of gasolina ;)

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Looks Great, Runs Fine And Is Nice To Have One, But Is 40 Years Old And Not Built Like Newer Cars — Acceleration great, braking is adequate, handling-well its 60's technology-so not so hot Has had a complete overhaul, but it is 40 years old, and has been well used It is the best looking of all the mustang body styles Gas mileage is quite good for a muscle car, mainetance has been ok outside of the rebuild-that was pricey The grin factor is high-hard not to look cool in the car-but was much more fun when I was younger-no AC or power steering

Pros: You look cool in it, and its great vintage iron

Cons: Very expensive to find one that doesn't need lots of work, and of course they are not common anymore

One Of A Kind — Its a classic American Muscle car what more can be said to that? IT may take a lot of work which I can hate but its all worth it to know that I have done the work on it and I can do anything I want to improve it whenever I have the money. Its a one of a kind car.

Pros: Good Old American Muscle Car

Cons: Lots of work, time, and money
