2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

The CarGurus verdict
With a new truck just around the corner, GMC keeps the Sierra 1500 relevant for 2018 with more standard content and safety features.
Once upon a time trucks were simply instruments of work. They were defined only by their utility and sheer size. But times have changed, and as trucks have become family-hauling vehicles, automakers have endeavored to include more creature comforts in these large vehicles. Heated seats, remote start, and navigation are all common on modern pickups.
Then there are the luxury trucks. These vehicles have leather seating and automatically extending running boards and many seldom get dirty. Trucks like the Ram 1500 Limited and Ford F-150 Limited and King Ranch all encapsulate this upscale pickup concept. Every year, they get more expensive and more lavish—and people keep buying them! But if you are looking for patient zero of the luxury-truck trend, look no further than the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali.
The Sierra 1500 is about to be redesigned for 2019, with many new innovations. So what is GMC offering in the current truck to make you consider it over the forthcoming 2019 version? Most notably, GMC sweetens the pot by making the reversing camera and the previously optional infotainment system standard equipment.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 are very pleased with its smooth ride, luxurious feel, and excellent features. Many highlight the vehicle's power, fuel efficiency, and comfortable interior as top strengths. However, some owners noted missing features such as backseat vents and basic safety options, and a few had concerns about engine performance and transmission issues."
Only thing i didn’t like is the gas mileage. Mine is slightly lifted though and averages about 13 miles to the gallon
August 5, 20252018 GMC Sierra. Simply the best driving & riding truck I have ever owned. The magnetic ride sets it apart and was the reason I purchased a 2018 vs the newer body style without it. It’s also the reason I choose it over similar Ford and Dodge trucks.
February 28, 2020very luxurious and drives incredible smooth.. Wouldnt know its a pickup truck

March 3, 2021Great truck, but not liking this heavy shudder from the torque converter.
August 20, 2022This truck is everything we were looking for and more. We love it!!
May 8, 2021We also test drove a Chevy Silverado. The GMC Denali had more features and felt more like a truck. It feels bigger and the cabin feels much bigger and quieter.
February 6, 2021I think the truck is the best handing and best features on any other truck model on the market. the ride is superb and it looks stunning. id recommend the GMC SLT model over all other truck choices.
August 21, 2020I Truly Love, what i bought (2018 ) GMC .Really like the Chrome Grille and the Ride and Driving , WOW !!! Nothing but a DENALI Could be BETTER ,but couldnt AFFORD that !!!
May 1, 2022It is a good value. The only thing missing from the vehicle is vents in the back and push to start. Neither are big issues in my book but could be in someone elses. Great luxury, power, and fuel efficiency.
August 13, 2020Best truck on the market. Tough yet very refined.
