Some new packages and the Sync 3 infotainment system debut just in time for the Mustang’s 51st birthday.
After a golden anniversary, it can be hard to figure out how to celebrate the following year. But after 2015 saw the Mustang commemorating 50 years in production, Ford decided 2016 wouldn’t just be a carryover. Instead, it has brought back some old favorites and new surprises to help keep everyone’s favorite pony car fresh. That means hood-mounted turn signals that first appeared in ‘67, new Black Accent and California Special packages, and the GT Performance package finally available for the convertible.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2016 Ford Mustang love its fun and smooth ride, performance, and handling. Many appreciate its stylish design and the value it offers compared to similar cars. On the downside, some drivers noted missing features like Apple CarPlay, and there are mixed feelings about fuel economy with certain models."
So beautiful, top up or down its a head- turner. Super comfortable to drive around town or on the highway, all good. Ford did a good job on the infotainment, plug and play to use Google maps. The sport mode really gets it while normal mode helps save gas. Best in class cargo means you can fit your stuff no problem. I have the 6 speed stick, notchy and fun all the time. The 4 cylinder turbo engine Ecoboost means the car is way lighter than the GT which makes this really easy to drive and nimble. The brakes are great. At 34,000 and have no issues, very reliable. I love this car. What a delight. They say things dont make your life better but this car proves otherwise!
December 11, 2022Great handling and sporty, we love Mustangs. They also hold their value really well
September 5, 2022The premium is the perfect mix of luxury meets sport. Plenty of options included adds lots of comfort. And this GT is fast with amazing handling and control. My wife can take it to the grocery store without being scared of it and I can drop it in sport mode and tear up the asphalt.

January 20, 2021I have a very well equipped Ecoboost Premium. The car rides exceptionally well. The 4 cyl has plenty of power and pulls close to 30 MPG on the highway. The car is a joy to drive and is my 5th Mustang. Having owned some older generations, this is the best one yet. Lots of creature comforts in this model and a nice mix of retro and new.
September 6, 2023Car has everything you need, like a backup camera and a powerful engine. Great handling, throttle response, and steering feedback. Only missing apple CarPlay. The mustang is more spacious than most other 2 door coupes like the 86 or brz.
June 1, 2023This is the best year of the Mustang in my opinion
July 30, 2022Very good quality and price and I love that model very beautiful I was blessed with a 2005 mustang convertible and it was a better car that I ever had just wanted more technology in mine so the 2016 is when they started that is why I like that model
February 26, 2023best bang for the buck on the road today. All the looks and style of his big brother the GT, none of the fuel bill or price tag.
October 26, 2020Fun, smooth ride, with no problems. Easy to maintain. Looked at prices of repairs and seems very affordable.
April 28, 2020The Mustang GT is great, has great handling, performance, reliability and holds its value really good !
