The 2007 Hyundai Accent is one of those little cars that knows what it is and doesn't have any delusions about being anything else. One engine is available: a 110 hp, 1.6 liter I4. The two available transmissions are the standard 5 speed manual (if you want a bit more zip and control over the car), or a 4 speed automatic. Depending on the transmission, gas mileage is either 28/37 or 32/35, respectively, which means you won't have to empty your wallet every week like you do with some of the larger sedans. Even though it has a small engine, the 2007 Hyundai Accent still goes 0-60 in about 9 seconds, which is plenty fast enough for day-to-day commuting.
Comforts are not extravagant, but the 2007 Hyundai Accent does have some useful features. Air conditioning comes standard in all trims. Other comforts available in the 2007 Hyundai Accent include a CD player, power windows and locks, power seats, a sunroof, and even a 6-CD changer. There's really not that much else that a commuter car needs. This is certainly not a car made for a family (what with being a hatchback), so for a driver and a passenger, the 2007 Hyundai Accent is a perfect car.
Overall, owners of the 2007 Hyundai Accent were very impressed by the little hatchback. An unexpected description was that the car is very fun to drive, a comment usually reserved for sportier vehicles. Owners were surprised by how smooth the acceleration is, even though it certainly does not put you back in your seat. The two most common suggestions were to add cruise control and rear window, but all-in-all, the vast majority of owners were very happy with the purchase, especially with the high gas mileage. The 2007 Hyundai Accent is a wonderful car for a single commuter or a young couple.

Great car, nothing to dislike. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a cheap, gas efficient car with great reliability. I also would recommend this car to students who don't want to spend much money on gas, and want to get around reliably.May 17, 2014

i liked the mileage, and its a manual. disliked that i always needed highway miles and it rapped out too high for my liking. Overall, a very decent car. The price i paid for it is well worth it in fuel.Dec 18, 2013

It's like driving a GoKart ! It's awesome !
Very reliable car, cheap to fix, It's very small but cargo capacity is impressive.
Not a family car though, but I don't recommend any 2 doors car to any family anyways !
Not good on offroad at all, it's a bumpy ride and fragile on these kind of road, so drive slow there ;)Nov 30, 2011

Performance- it has an excellent acceleration it goes to 100 from standstill in 10.5
secs. Handling is poor at high speeds if u have installed stock tires of 175/65 R14..
Appearance- Quiet good
cost of ownership- it gives about 16 to 17 kmpl on highway....the car requires
huge maintenance cost
Fun factor- Car is fun to drive, especially on highwaysApr 13, 2011

Honestly not my best choice but it truly gets me there...seriously have to lift my hat off to it...It is dependable, durable and has a warranty which provides free service of engine etc when it gets to 100,000 milesJun 26, 2010

I cant complain about performance. The car has given me good mileage over the long run as well as during city commute. Maintenance is very minimal. It looks small from outside, but there a lot of space in the interior.Apr 09, 2010

this car has been very good to me. i've put over 80,000 miles on it since buying it brand new in sept. 2007. repair costs are a bit high, but the quality of the vehicle makes up for the rarity of repairs needed. the only issue i have with this car is interior space, but what can i expect out of a 2 door hatchback? it's definitely not a Yukon, but it'll get me by for now!Oct 25, 2009

1.6 L , 112 hp , in line 4 cylinders
it's exterior appearance is infact good ...looks very sporty with its front and rear pumped up , maybe it's interior is alittle disappointment because of the lack of options ( electric mirrors , sun roof , ....etc )
but it is fun for people of young age.Jul 14, 2009

My 2007 Hyundai Accent GLS is a stunning car for
it's class. The GLS model for this year is "all-
around good." It is meant to satisfy many, but it's
not exactly a thriller. It drives with spirit and
accelerates pretty well given its light weight and
small engine. Handling is good but is limited by its
185/65 tires. The GLS suspension is tuned a bit
too soft for my preferences. This car is one of a
few with anti-lock brakes and electronic brake-
force distribution. On that note, it is also quite
safe, with above average crash-test ratings,
reinforced beams and crumple zones, and a hearty
complement of 6 airbags.
As an economy car, the Accent soars with flying
colors. It feels big inside, doesn't look cheap, and
has a lot of standard features and an excellent
172-watt, 6-speaker stock AM/FM/CD stereo. It's
excellent warranty coverage, above average
reliability, and stellar gas mileage combine to make
this car easy and low-cost to own. I have only
owned it for a month, but it seems like a
dependable machine.
The Accent's styling is attractive, but it's nothing to
talk about or turn heads. It's definately much
improved over previous models and some of its
competition--though i must admit competitors like
the Scion or Honda Fit do look cooler. On the other
hand, the hatchback accent models cater more to
looks and the "cool" factor than the GLS sedan.
Overall, I think the 2007 Accent GLS is an excellent
vehicle. It comes with pretty much everything you
need, and then some (especially in regards to safety
and warranty). I wish my car had alloy rims and an
auxiliary audio input--but still, cars like this are
hard to find. Jul 03, 2009

I like that its a small little thing. the turning radius is wonderful and it handles what i need it to seeing that i live in a desert. it gets great gas milage which is wonderful in todays market. but it doesnt accelerate all that quickly and im sure if u pushed it it would do all that much great stuff. its not the nicest thing ive seen interior wise but it gets me to wherever i need to go. i havent had any problems with it yet.Dec 31, 2008

Very powerful.... 0-62 mph in 11.02 secs. Damn neat for a diesel. Too light for the kinda power it has. Handlling at high speeds is scary. Not a highway steed but a rocket on the street. Amazing fun to drive. Fuel effeciency is pretty good too. Say about 15km/l.Nov 27, 2008

Great mileage, solid build quality, adequate performance, mechanically perfect. Good-looking car. Would recommend this car to anybody wanting a solid, frugal car. The only options were A/C and topline stereo. I added a better stereo with XM and mp3 and it's just about perfect. The only drawback is that it has a 5-speed and it REALLY needs a 6-speed for the freeway. You are turning 3000 RPM at 70 mph and gas mileage at this speed begins to suffer. Best mileage is 55-60 MPH.Oct 30, 2008

It's a small base model car. It's a 5 spd, 4 dr car that has been reliable up to now. It doesn't have the most power but its got pretty good acceleration and handles relatively good. There aren't alot of extra features but it comes standard with power windows, keyless, and AC; so thats pretty cool. This car is only a few years old yet it has proven it's toughness. It has gone through 2 guys learning to drive stick on it, and it has yet to fail.Feb 27, 2008
2007 Hyundai Accent SE Hatchback 90,000 miles - everything was fine until the warranty expired. I have 2 keys & 2 remotes ). Now, I can no longer unlock driver door with either remote. So far, I can still unlock driver door with keys. The passenger door still opens with either key or either remote. Recently, the hatchback door cannot be unlocked with the keys or the remotes - apparently it's never going to open again. The dealership service mgr admitted malfunctioning door locks are a common issue which can be fixed for around $600.00!! I cant afford that! Any advice?
Sometimes my car won't turn over. It'll start fine and I'll drive it somewhere. Go to leave and it won't turn over. I'll wait 1 to 5 min and it'll crank fine. Took it to 2 mechanics they were stumped. One of them couldn't get it to fail at all. Took it to the dealership and it failed on them. They changed the ignition cylinder and the clutch switch. I went and picked it up and it started fine. Got it home killed it and went to restart it and nothing. I can drive it somewhere park it and 9hrs later go to leave and nothing. It acts like the clutch is pressed. Full power but no turnover. New battery. New connectors. New ignition cylinder. New clutch switch. I have no idea.
