Gas mileage averages out to 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway. Cargo volume behind the third row in the non-Cargo trims comes out to 26.9 cubic feet of space. Contrary to what you might think, don't count on the Uplander too much for your heavy towing needs. Max towing capacity on all trims only comes out to 3500 lbs.
Overall, drivers like the Uplander's smooth ride and modern features. On the other hand, the engine and power don't measure up to the competition and the '05 edition doesn't have side curtain airbags; look for new side impact airbags in '06. Think of the '05 Chevy Uplander as an interesting debut for a new breed of SUV.
I have a 2005 Chevy Uplander. 6 Mons old starter. I drove to school to pick up my kids. Turned it off, it would not start again. Got it jumped to get home. Next day, it would not start again. Have a portable starter/jumper. Tried it. Battery is OK. All rights, horn etc came on but it would not start. Message says "starting disabled". What does that mean? Is it due to spark plugs?
was driving into a parking spot when the van would'nt go into park, then it got stuck in reverse.I put on the emergency brake so the car won't move, shut off the engine now the car won't start. trying to figure out what part I need to check & replace
My husband was backing up and then the shift stick wouldn't move and then I don't know if I broke or what but now it just moves freely in the van won't move. So the snow stick is just moving freely but not actually moving so what could he messed up and how much would it cost me
The rear air won't flow (heat or A/C) from the roof vents in the rear of the van. It blows from the floor vents from all settings. It will adjust flow based on setting (1, 2, or 3). I have tried adjusting the vent setting from the front controls and from the rear controls. Neither will make it blow from the ceiling vents.
Car died once I take the jumper off and switch to D or R.
