All of a sudden my uplander's transmission just started slipping out of gear and into neutral. No warning lights on dash. Let it sit for 10 minutes starts and runs for a few then slips back into neutral. Same on automatic or in any manual gear. Any ideas?

I move shifter to reverse or any other gear and the indicator on the dash still says P. I can put it in reverse and it backs up fine. when I put it in drive the van will not start off in first and upshift. it starts off in drive and takes off very slowly. the only way to take off is to. manually shift gears. Any ideas? Thank you in advance
