Transmission won’t shift past 3rd gear
Why will my 2005 Chevy Malibu LS not shift past third gear

The 2005 Chevrolet Malibu was one of Chevy's most popular entries in the midsize sedan class (although the hatchback version, the Malibu Maxx, never quite got the same traction with buyers). The '05 Malibu was designed to provide family transportation and comfort at an affordable price; competing with cars like the Ford Taurus, Honda Accord, and Toyota Camry, the 2005 Chevy Malibu distinguished itself with a range of options and luxury touches.
Three trims were available for the '05 Chevrolet Malibu: an entry-level Base trim as well as the more upscale LS and LT. The Base model came with a 145-horsepower inline-4 engine; LS and LT models boasted a 200-horsepower V6. And it's that engine power that gives the 2005 Malibu its popularity with drivers. Unlike many family sedans, the Malibu can really open up on the highway.
Another selling point is the popular OnStar option. Once again, this appeals to the family segment in particular; people concerned about safety were eager to invest in the instant-communication road service system.

Is there a fuel relay reset button
My 2005 Chevy Malibu Classic keeps having a starting issue and noone can figure it out! It wants to start, but doesn't turn over. I've had nothing but problems since I bought this car a year ago. Anyway, it starts up fine when it's nice and cool out. When it gets real hot/humid out, it doesn't want to start at all. I have to wait until the car cools off before it will even start. Does this make any sense to anyone?? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I can't take it anymore!!!
We just got a 2005 Malibu. It's in generally great condition, but the parking brake is nearly useless. I stopped on our hill, put it in neutral, put on the parking brake, and slowly released the brake pedal. It felt like it was barely slowed by the parking brake; in short, it's too weak to be useful. So, where should I start? My understanding is that this is a cable-actuated brake. Is tightening the cable a good starting point? If so, how? My experience level is pretty modest. I've replaced brake pads and done other basic maintenance. Thank you.
