The 2003 Toyota Tacoma came in a wide variety of trims, which included the Regular Cab 4WD, Xtracab 4WD, Xtracab V6 4WD, Double Cab V6 4WD, Regular Cab 2WD, PreRunner Regular Cab 2WD, Xtracab 2WD, PreRunner Xtracab 2WD, S-Runner Xtracab V6 2WD, PreRunner, Double Cab 2WD, PreRunner Xtracab V6 2WD, and the PreRunner Double Cab V6 2WD. The new Double Cab models offered four doors instead of two and extra room in the extended cab. The S Runner was the sporty model, offering a sport-tuned suspension. Fuel economy was about 17/20 mpg.

March 24, 2021It was a good truck i always got compliments. The exhaust the previous owner put on it was a bit much but other than that the truck was probably one of my favorite vehicles. Tacoma's are awesome. That is all.
April 30, 2015I give this car out of a 9/10. This truck is very reliable, has good mpg and I never had to worry about it breaking down. It has a smaller bed space then I wanted, but it had still had enough room to fit a toolbox and a four wheeler.
January 8, 2014Tacomas are excellent trucks. Mine is a 2002 with 290k miles and still running strong. Manufacturers absolutely stand by their products. Would never change brands.
September 16, 2020Can't really find anything of significance. It has been a reliable truck that has fulfilled my needs. It always receives compliments on how good it looks. I like the round wheel wells as they aren't angled like the models are today.
April 14, 2014Prefect reliability so far, 7 years and 110,000 miles. never left me on the side of the road. Tows reasonably well, the only issues towing is could use a little more power. Typical toyota computer though. if you go from beach to mountains. Once you get there best thing to do is disconnect battery both sides and touch the cables together for 30 seconds. resets computer to default. Otherwise it takes about 3 days to learn. Gets most of the performance back.
August 14, 2010It's the girliest looking truck you've ever seen, but that means it's perfect for me! Good thing it has amazing brakes because I follow too close and brake too late. The handling is extremely responsive to my crazy driving. The acceleration isn't what I would like it to be, but I've never gotten a speeding ticket! :)
September 13, 2008Perfect for biking, snowboarding, and everything else I was doing in VT...I would have kept it longer if I did not run it into a guard rail at 55 mph on the North Way in upstate NY.
