The Chrysler Sebring lineup underwent several changes for 2003. New features were added to both the sedan and convertible, and the coupe received a complete face lift. Changes on the coupe include a new hood shape, side moldings, rear fascia, and new designs for the head, tail, and fog lamps. Inside the coupe, the center console has been rethought, along with the instrument cluster and dash layout.
The same trim levels return for both the coupe and convertible, but the LX Plus style is no longer offered with the sedan. The convertible trims include the base LX, the sporty GTC, the luxurious LXi, and the even more upscale Limited. The coupe and sedan are both offered with two choices: LX or LXi.
There were no engine changes for 2003. The 2.4 liter inline four powers the LX Coupe, LX Sedan, and LX Convertible. This engine generates 150 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque. On the LX Coupe, a slightly less powerful version delivers 147 horsepower, up from last year's 142. Again, the LXi Coupe is the sole recipient of the 3.0 liter V-6, which generates 200 horsepower and 205 pound-feet of torque. The LXi Convertible, Limited Convertible, and LXi sedan are powered by the 2.7 liter V-6, receiving 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. The GTC Convertible and LXi Coupe are both available with a five-speed manual transmission. All other models use a four-speed automatic. Sebring fuel efficiency actually varies little with the engine size: city driving mpg is estimated in the low 20s and highway cruising in the high 20s.
Many Sebring owners were very satisfied with the standard amenities on the upper level trims. Reviewers also point out that even the base LX models are well-equipped with several important convenience features. Drivers have expressed appreciation for Chrysler's attention to detail on the creature comforts, like the premium audio system. The redesigned Sebring Coupe also attracted many new buyers.
Many consumers commented that Chrysler should have included more standard safety features, like ABS and side airbags. Build quality complaints seem a bit scarce here, compared to other Chrysler models, but transmission failure and excessive interior wear have both been cited as problems.

Dislike the expensive repairs that comes with an American old car. In last 3 months spent over $1200 in repairs(after all it is an old car so expected the slow breakdown) Aside the repairs, cars runs great, comfortable seating, plenty of elbow space but unfortunately a gas guzzler.Apr 16, 2015

Great car,reliable and efficient, drove mine for around 150,000 miles. Only
maintenance was the belt and water pump, still running strong. really nicecar
for that time and nice strong desing,mine a 2.4 4 banger!! reall proud of that

it does me well, but I don't need the doors or the color, the struts where broke when I bought it, so I replaced them and it works great now.

I have loved this car for a long time and it shows! Very good condition and still lots of fun to drive. I wish that I had gotten cruise control when I ordered it, as that would be very handy. I also wish that I had gotten automatic adjustment of the driver's seat, but didn't think it necessary at the time I ordered it.Apr 26, 2014

My Sebring is a great car have had no problems with it yet. It has good acceleration. Is sporty looking. Also handles like a dream. Gas mileage is absolutely fabulous and is easy for the love of my life to drive and get in and out of.Oct 29, 2010

Would prefer it sat about 2" higher off the ground so that there is no issue with entering or leaving certain driveways. It would also keep the tailpipe from scraping when leaving a steep driveway. Making the turning radius have a better range would be invaluable! Very good on gas mileage, pretty responsive, and easy on the eyes!Oct 12, 2009

i love the convertible, the sound system, the seats. it's tight and comfortable. everything is at hand and easy to manuver.

I like how easy the convertible top works and is quiet when opening and closing it. I like how the car handles and it has great exceliration off the start. It get fairly good mileage, about 21 around town about 30 on the highway. I don't like how the rear speakers sound as the bass makes them rattle.Jun 08, 2009

All around soid car. I personally love the way it looks - the spoiler too. Good power (200 hp from a 2.7L 24v 6cyl) great factory stereo, comfy ride.
Reliability-wise this car has been very good to me. Only repairs outside maintainence are fan was replaced at 60,000kms and ignition lock was replaced - apparently Chrysler has some issues with the tumblers wearing out.

my car is amazing.. people who see it think its a granny mobile but its not.... it can go up to 200km/h... it has a 6 cd changer built right in, it has all the assorises except for gps and heated seats.... it handles so good. the only thing im worried about it seems not that good going around turns. i also heard the parts are expensive to replace so im hoping it wont break down on meJul 15, 2008

The car is alright and its great if you just want a convertable for four people, similar to a Toyota Solara. The car is not very performance oriented. The car has decent low end acceleration, but seams to lack the horsepower to continue up to the 60 mph mark, giving it a bad time. Quality of the car is average, leather seats are an upgrade for the interior, however the rest of the dash is plastic with synthetic wood trim. Gas milage is fairly good, about 26 mpg. The car is fun to drive but strickly on the basis of it convertible nature. The suspension lacks the finess of a finer car such as a BMW 330ci convertible. I've had this car for about two years now, and have gone on some long vacation drives... no major problems, but it is a sporty car, not a sports car - power is adequate but not awesome. The clips that hold the sun visors in place break really easily. The chrome on aluminum wheels look great but they flake really badly on the inside and eventually will look bad outside too. The car is very comfortable on long drives and the heated seats are a must in any convertible. Driving in temperatures below 12 C with the top down can be done, but you'll need gloves and a warm jacket. Controls are well laid out and logical, but the "autostick" function is eye-candy - I just leave the thing in "D" most of the time - autostick is nothing like driving a manual-shift car. 2003 sebring convertible- car wont start and clock/radio won't work while all other electronics do
I have a 2003 Chrysler Sebring LXI Convertible. It's worked fine until today although I did replace the battery a year ago. I tried to started it today, starter wouldn't turn over, even when I tried to jump start it from another car. The clock and radio also don't work although all other electronics work. What might be wrong? Couldn't look today but hope a fuse might be the problem?
