What is a typical lifespan for Subaru Legacy wagons? I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy Brighton with 132,000 miles (bought it used, with 18k already on it). I've kept it maintained over the years. Two different mechanics have told me two different things about my car. The first said to expect the Subaru to last until about 300,000 miles. The second said it won't last another 100,00 miles. What do you think?
The head light, black lights, and and dash lights are blinking at intervals and I cannot find the reset button to fix this and my mom has the key fob remote some where. This happened right after replacing the battery and the manual was a bust Also I think that trim package is right, it is my first car.
Hi, I want to change some parts of my 1996 Subaru Legacy for ones from a 1996 Outback, but I don´t know if they will fit. Does someone know if I can do it?
my car runs great and when cold, starts right up but at times, after it has been running and shut off, it will not restart. Doesn't happen all the time and after about 20 or 30 minutes it will restart. It has been checked an rechecked by 2 dealers and a couple of "guys"... they can't find anything.
my 1996 subaru,sta. wgn. automatic, the battery was dead, and i proceded to jump start it, but it would"t start or even turn over. and in fact the inside lights didn"t even come on. but with the jumpers hooked up i tried to start it anyway. to no avail. and i called a towing svc. but the guy had a rollback and could't help me because it's ad\n all wheel drive and it would not go out of park, my question is how can I get it out of park? does the electrical system have to be working to get it out of park, or is there some other way?
