7.4 454 vortec in to a 1988 gmc 1500
Would a 7.4 454 fit into my 1988 gmc 1500 with the v6 in it? I know it would need upgrading but Iam referring to the space under the hood

stock 350 it wasnta bad truck but i didnt enjoy the ride handling wasnt great the motor didnt have the power i wanted but all in all it was a good truck but it was realy fun in wet grass Nov 08, 2010

5.0L (305), BF Goodrich radial tires P275/60R15
Clean truck never winter driven. No rust,scratches or damage. Drives great and has good power. Havent dont awhole lot to it but plan on doing some add ons to make this truck even better.

Good performance, engine mileage is getting up there. The handling is great for a full size truck (almost as good as my comanche was ;) ). Typical GM quality, awesome. Appearance would be great if the paint was not faded... the step side makes it pretty cool though. Interior has plenty of space! Decent gas mileage but good for maintenance. Fun truck to drive but again... not compared to my comanche. With it was a manual, but it has more power so its a compromise. Apr 01, 2010

i bought this truck about two years ago for $1500 the truck was plan jane i put new tires and rims an aftermarket exhaust system its an awesome truck ive put it through crap since ive had it and its still running so wat can i say chevy are like a rockJan 21, 2010

it takes forever to pick up a decent speed, brakes
are good since i just replaced them, handles not
bad for what it is
its needed alot of repairs over the years, new
motor, brakes, interior had to be re-done, tires,
exhaust, something squeaks dont know what it is
though and something also rattles also dont know
what
interior is nice and basic easy to find controls,
exterior wise looks like a regular old school truck
gas isnt bad only costs about 60 bucks to fill from
empty lasts at least 2 weeks or more, regular
maintanence done oil changes tranny fluid etc

It's a beast, what can I say. Any thing you throw at it, it can handle. I have owned this truck for almost three years and it has never stranded me. It might not have all the fancy features of modern cars but the Good ole GMC is a rough and tough truck ready to workSep 15, 2009

I like the tank feeling you get when behind the wheel the only thing missing is the top mount 50 cal. and the bullet proof glass would be nice too.

My $700 beater, redneck truck. Has 33" (actually 285/70/16) BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. I use it to tow my friends and my cars, tear up muddy fields and act a fool in snow. When it finally is too rusty to even drive (which will probably be soon) I'll crash it into a tree or something destructive and then take the small block V8 out and play with it.Jan 28, 2009

Boggs out on take off
My 88 sierra 5.7 tbi Boggs out on take off. Wnta to die at stops. Runs great in park. Changed fuel filter, pluggs, wires, rotor, map sensor, tps, coolent sensor, iac, egr valve, egr valve selinoid, o2 sensor, checked for vacuum leaks, cleaned carb, injectors seem to spray in a cone shape. Please help
