I have a carburated, Chevy 350 motor with a rough idle. While doing a leak-down test, I heard air leaking through to the opposite cylinder, on the other side of the engine. Could this indicate a cracked or leaking intake manifold or worse?
We just bought a 76 Chevy Cheyenne short bed and it was cold started but we were letting her run for a little to warm up. It died a couple times and we started it backup. On the third time it refused to start, it would just crank. Its got a full tank and after checking everything we figured out it flooded. So we let it sit for a little and than she started up but than died again and now it acts like it floods after ever start. The previos owner just fixed the timing but I'll be completely honest I don't know much about trucks but I do know to check the fluids and the spark plugs and the general stuff so any suggestions as to what could be causing it?
I just puf a new 350 in and put my old quadra jet on it was running ok but not good so i cleaned the carb and now it starts up good and what not but when i go and drive it down the road it just wants to stay running like your giving it gas and it wont every stop i have to shut it off or the rpms will just keep Rising
