preformace is good with the ledgendary chevy 350 small block
built like a tank cause well its all sheet metal
apperace is very classic square body truck
not great gas mileage but that's not what you buy it for

Has 75k miles on a 350. Mainly just inside work for now. I'm shopping around for a lowering kit for it and hoping to find a BBC soon. The inside is all rapped in black fabric with checkered inserts. Other then that its all stock. It looks lowered but that's just how it sits.Feb 26, 2012

Fun old truck. Was pretty worn out and tired, but still a blast to cruise around in. Sounded good once the 4 barrel opened up. 350 crate motor, aluminum intake, long tube headers, etc... only downside is that it had something like 2.88 factory gears which made it an absolute turd. could do some awesome brake stands though since the rear brakes were shot hahaMay 13, 2010

Love the truck. Cant beat an 80's Chevy, they're very tough trucks and they dont build them like that anymore. It is an old truck however so it does break down from time to time but these trucks were built primarily from '73-'87 so parts are available everywhere and are usually pretty cheap and easy to install yourself. My truck has seen its share of rough weather and jeep trails but has yet to leave me stranded.Aug 31, 2009

It's my first car and I love it. There was alot done to it before I got it so i'm not sure how the stock ones are. But mine's got a Camaro IROC-Z 350ci engine so it's got tons of power and gets pretty good gas milage. It was restored a few years back so nothing's broken yet. It has a 4'' lift and because of that it rides like a brick especially on bumpy roads. But i'm definatly never gonna sell it and I love it a bunch.Jan 28, 2009

This was my very first vehicle. I got it when I was a Freshman in high school. It has a 350 V8 right now but I plan on putting a big block in it some day. This truck gets around good and is great for off roading. It has limited slip front and rear differentials which are awesome. It is pretty sweet looking and I love driving itSep 03, 2008

i love this truck i have never had any serious problems with it and it has over 160k on it. i use it for everything the only sad thing is is that utah has crappy emissions and it failed safety cuz of a cracked window and a roll pan instead of the bumper.Jul 04, 2008

I’m in a dispute with a Smog shop that claims my truck has a check engine light and won’t pass my visual part of truck so I just fixed it up for my 85 year old father and I really don’t remember if this has one ? Should I buy this truck
I have a question for all you truck smart people. I'm looking to buy a 1985 Chevrolet c10. It's in pretty good condition but the guy said that there is something wrong with the carburetor but he's not sure what it is. It has a new PCV valve, new ignition, new distributor cap and rotor, new air filter, and new plugs and wires. Do any of you know potentially know what could be wrong with the carb and how much it could be to fix. Also if its worth buying the truck.

C10 Runs for 30 minutes or so dies. Then wont start for a few hours.
I was driving my 85 c10 for about thirty minutes then it just shut off and would not restart for 2 hours. When I tried to restart it would turn over and not kick over.

driveshaft or transmission?
Okay so I have an 85 c10 Silverado long bed that has around 178k miles. Its a 5.0 350 engine and had a 700r4 tranny. The tranny I just took out was a 700r4 and I replaced it with the th350 that was almost new with no problems. I checked and made sure everything was connected and tightened correctly but I used the 700r4 driveshaft instead of the one the th350 had on it and I finished everything today and just put fresh fluid into it and a full tank of gas and when I put it into reverse I have to rev it really hard for it to even start reversing then it moves extremely slow and I can hear and see that all the gears are shifting correctly and the driveshaft moves in neutral but when I put it in reverse it doesn't spin. any suggestions should I replace the driveshaft with the transmissions original driveshaft?
