My truck was great! i beat the tar out of it!!! got it stuck 2 times in some pretty
nasty stuff! suspension sucked! 6in of leaf springs is a rough ride... did great in hill

Truck is torn down now doing a complete rebuild!Im doing all the work myself.The frame is getting sandblasted and painted at the moment. Truck will be lowered front and rear the body will be painted. The interior will be redone and it will receive a good driving motor with a little extra punch along with whatever customizations i can dream up or think of. will keep the project posted as i go. hope to be done june 2010.Aug 09, 2009

It is a 1983 Chevrolet K/10 Pickup. Single cab, long bed, 4X4, 4 speed balanced auto transmission. Limited slip rear differential, Recently rebuilt. $3,200 miles on rebuilt. new aluminum pistons, moly coated piston rings, 437 corvette racing heads, Torque camshaft, long tube headers, true dual sportside exhaust, 2 26" straight thought glasspacks, Totally rebuilt 750CFm 4BBL quadrajet carburator, 1" phonic carburator space, 8.0MM Racing spark plug wires, competition spark plugs, High capacity distibutor cap, 55,000V ingition coil, 4x14" air filter, 14" chrome air filter assembly, 135apm altenator, high flow cast iron water pump, compete engine gasket set, chrome timing set, chrome valve covers/breather/bolts/hold down tabs, 7 blade flex fan, synthetic primary and secondary belts, high flow oil pick up. New rhino lined rims, 9X28" tires, rhino lined bed rail caps/side running boards/tailgate protector, rear bumper, front bumper/grill guard/exhaust tips. Painted front grill/blinkers/rear taillight trim/rear window trim/door water guards. MPG is about 5 in town ant 7 on the highway(due to the 750CFM carb). Maintance is VERY often. Oil is ALWAY full synthetic, just doesnt run right without it. Usually super unleaded with octan booster. The engine produces enough instant torque to flex the motor in the engine bay and flex the fron end of the truck fron left to right. When I have it on LOW idol, the hood wil shake back and forth while it is open, and the exhaust tipes will push in every time their is a exhaust throw out. Will spin tires in 1st gear at 40MPH(at the end of 1st geat), until 55MPH(about 1/4 way thought second). L-O-U-D! No radio...but who needs it when you wont be able to hear it anyways...
I would totally recommend this truck to a friend. Loud, fast, ranch truck look. What else could you want in a truck? It has more torque than horsepower. Will burnout, will spin both tires on a stoplight take off. People look when you drive by, 60% of them look while I am going 40 and holding it in 2nd gear, ALL of the look when I am driving 35 and holding it in 1st. 350 small block engine. Has 350K on engine. With ehxaust system, regular cab long box, dual tanks, runs great. Stock hight, stock 15 rims. 2 wheel drive. I inhearted the truck from my great-grand father. Needs a little work, but that is what u get for a used farm truck.Aug 08, 2008

My dad bought this truck in 1994, and gave it to me in 2005. It breaks down a lot and has lots of issues, but it's old. All old cars have issues. I would not recommend it to a friend, because none of my friends would know how to drive it.Jun 27, 2008

I need a little advice for my truck. It was running fine then all of a sudden it just stopped and wouldn't restart. I got it home, i checked for fuel and it's getting to the motor. So then I checked for spark, and no dice. I took the distributor apart and had the parts store test the module, it was fine. Then I replaced the coil in the distributor because of heavy corrosion, but it still has no spark. The motor turns over just fine, and it is a 350. Any ideas on where I should go from here?
I have a 1983 chevy silverado c10 I have on instrument panel lights I have change all the bulbs replaced the circuit board change the headlight switch checked all the fuses still no instrument panel light what is the problem?
My turn signals are solid when I flip the left or right blinker but my hazard lights are working properly. I have replaced the turn signal switch and checked the fuse it is still good. This just started about a week ago up until then everything worked properly. Any suggestions on what else could be causing this to happen.
