Headlight go off while driving
My son has an 82 Chevy Silverado. While driving his headlights will suddenly go off. Then while come back on. Any suggestions

has an 350 V8 engine in it. little rust on the truck. love the performance of my
truck. 100 dollars cost for ownership of the truck. this is a fun car to drive. would

This is a great truck. It has never failed me yet. The only bad thing about Bertha is that she has cancer bad, the body will fall off before she stops running. Good fuel mileage and pulling with the 700R4, overdrive is nice.Sep 10, 2010

I love this truck. I am doing the motor swap on my days off and am almost ready to put the new 350 in it. I am looking for new 35's So i can Get rid of my 33's. And i also want a roll Bar for the Back With KC lights on the top.Sep 02, 2010

I like the 35+ MPG from the 6.2 diesel. I don't like that it hasn't run since Aug. 2007. If money, space and time become available, the truck will get a complete frame off overhaul. Some day it will get the love it needs, lol.Aug 31, 2010

Its my 1982 C10 with a L82 corvetter 350 V8. Stock heads at this time with a very mild cam, holly street dominator intake with 650cfm carb. Headers with 2.5inch stright X-pipe exhaust. 3.73 gears and a Trubo 350 tranny with non-lsd....for now. Jan 12, 2010

i inherated the truck from my dad along with the 85 suburban, ive driven the hell out of the truck and had it for going on 5 years, never had any real bad trouble with it, of course i never drove crazy in it, not like you could. its just a good ole runnin truck, sounds cool but doesnt drive fast.Dec 06, 2009

It was my toy around vehicle. I had put a 400 small block in it with a bigger camshaft so it had lots of torque. I stuck a lot of money into it, mainly rebuilding the transmission twice. But I had a lot of fun in the mud and snow with it.Aug 13, 2009

My truck is a work in progress its bad on gas and it leaks here and there but slowly the leaks are being fixed and its face is gettin a lift her name is Dirty Harriet and shes my old girl but I think the thing i love the best about her is that she always gets turned on when i put my keys in the ignition... Performance - strong motor [350 V8 smallblock], decent acceleration, good hadling, great pulling power for 2WD.
Build quality - strong. [if it isn't steel it isn't real.]
Appearance - a little rough but if restored - BEAUTIFUL.
Cost of ownership - Little MPG, needs resto, paid $1500 for it.
Fun factor - awesome truck to drive, loud, friends always want to drive it, some wanted to buy it, unfortunatly it's for sale because i have a baby on the way, and would someday like to own a crew cab version of the same truck.Jul 06, 2008

i have a 1982 Chevy Silverado C10 "Big 10" it has a Pontiac 350 in it right now but i am putting a Chevy 400 small block out a 3/4 ton chevy in it i like it cuz it only cost me $200. and theres hardly any rust. it is an Auto trans with the optional automatic overdrive on it, it has dual gas tanks, it is limited slip diffrentail in the rear axle rather than posi, it has ESC, on both the small block 400 and the 350 so thats good, it has a 8ft bed and a red tool box and ill update laterApr 18, 2008

No power to distributor
Power supply wire that runs to the distributor fell off distributor connector while starting truck and shorted out. Now truck won’t start and there is no power going through the distributor power supply wire. All fuses on panel look good. Just wondering if there is any switch, fuse, relay, etc that could have been damaged from the wire shorting out, and now not allowing power to flow through the wire and to the distributor.

Just purchased 1982 Chevy C-10 w/350 engine, while filling power steering fluid in power steering pump, noticed it was red...nobody seems to know if transmission or regular power steering fluid is used for this truck.What should be used?
