I have a chevy k10 with a 350 small block and it has an issue where it wont shut off after we start it. And its not a gentle regular idle speed when it starts. We put the key in, turn it over, it fires up then seems like the RPM's quickly climb and the only way we found to shut it off is to choke it out, and we're not sure why. Any suggestions?
I own a 1975 Chevy C10 that I used as my daily driver.. Up until a few months ago when I started having issues with it. The truck will turn on. Everything turns on. I crank it and it runs, but only for about a minute and it dies on me. Either I keep my foot on the pedal, or it dies. If I come to a stop while driving, it dies. I've had a couple mechanics look at it, and both have obviously missed something because the issue hasn't been resolved. I really need my truck back, i would appreciate any sort of advice. Thank you!
