This is a 1960 chevy c 10 it has a 350 bored 40 over , carburetor Manuel fuel pump and standard distributor w coil .it is not over heating water,fuel filter clean.when in shut down still has gas and fire on the distributor . Any suggestions is appreciated Mike
I am interested in getting and old Truck Body Like a 1958 chevy but with brand new engine/transmission/suspension etc.. I am by no means a truck/car guy and would have to pay someone to do this. I am not even sure what to call the combination of old/new that I'm looking for. I want an old looking truck that I can drive daily, take on road trips, tow trailers, and go off road without the fear of it breaking down. Any guidance is appreciated. Where do I start this journey? How much $ would this end up costing me? I see some for sale for under $20k that are "close" to what I'm looking for. But maybe a custom build is the way to go?
This truck has a 10 bolt low geared rear end 6 lug,need to change to a higher geared.has original rear I would like to just replace the chunk. Thanks Mike
I just bought a 1960 C-10 Stepside. The horn does not work. The previous owner has a marked wire for the horn (horn toots when power applied). The previous owner has a wire for power nd one coming down the steering column. Today, I bount a 4 terminal horn relay. When all wires are connected (Power, ground, horn and horn button) the horn will not sound. When I jump between the power side of relay to the horn button terminal on the relay, the horn toots fine. I check the resistance between the horn button and the end of the wire attached to the horn button, I geet a ristance, so the wire is good. Anyone know what my problem is?
