Is it common to raise your price $2500 when a guest inquires about a vehicle? Do you also direct your sales staff to say, “I will get back to you,” and then they don’t? I’m guessing Reed remembers when he mentioned, I won’t be in on Wednesday-concerned I may seek out another member of the Ewald team and take his potential sale. Reed will remember that I promised him I wouldn’t and gave my word. He was aware we could not come in until Thursday 2-28 if we were to make a deal. I’m sure Reed was following the directive of his leadership. A shady business model with suspect motives is not a recipe for sales or success.
