HORRIBLE is about as good as it gets here. Once again this dealership tried pulling the bait and switch age old tactic that now doesn't work by not having the vehicle they had listed on their website at their dealer's lot when I went to drive it in person AFTER calling in person to make sure it was still in their inventory. Their "excuse" was that the vehicle got sold 2 months ago, but no one at the dealership remembered to remove that listing from the website. I drove a long ways through bad traffic to drive the vehicle they had posted and come to find out......they offered a more expensive vehicle that I wasn't interested in. I won't waste my time again with this rubbish and probably most everyone else wouldn't either. It was a complete waste of time and a round trip through some of the worst traffic and drivers I've seen in some time. I wonder what Clay Cooley would think of this IF he were the customer.??

The dealer did not honor the pricing that was posted online or on car gurus. I did end up making a purchase because I needed a 2500 HD gas motor and they were very difficult to find in the metroplex. The sales experience was very bad. The sales people were very pushy. They did not go over any of the functions of the vehicle with me at the time of purchase. I made the purchase on February 18 and still have not received my additional key fob. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone

the description of the truck on their website didnt match truck for sell...and they try to tell me my credit score in low 400 and i need a co signer I check my credit frequently and my score is not in the 400...seems like a bait and switch ...veey untrustworthy dealer

***Poor customer service and deceptive sales staff*** I called and scheduled an appointment to test drive a car. The salesman agreed to have the specific vehicle "pulled up front and ready" when I arrived. Of course the car was not ready when I arrived. After finding the salesman, he made excuse that he had been busy and did not get the vehicle. Later, he told me that he didn't get the car ready in advance because I was required to fill out paperwork first. So....he was either untruthful when he said he promised to have the car ready upon my arrival; or, he was untruthful about being prohibited from getting the car ready prior to completing "paperwork". I asked if I could work with a different salesperson. I was directed to one of the "equity managers". He informed me that the car that I scheduled to test drive was not even on the lot. Seems like a typical bait-and-switch tactic. Lure customers on the lot with a great price on a car that is mysteriously not available.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership! I called regarding a used Toyota Tundra. The negotiation and financing took forever. I was promised on several occasions They would check on something then call me back in a few “ MINUTES” and I wouldn’t receive a call for a whole day and sometimes several days. I then asked to speak to their general manager to discuss my frustrations and they would not call me back either. I really wanted the truck too, but eventually had to go somewhere else. I literally felt like they didn’t care to sale the car, which is crazy when thinking of a car dealership. Normally you are pestered to buy a car.

Called the dealer about a vehcile. Dealer confirmed that the vehicle is in stock on their lot. Reached the dealership 15 min late. Then I was told that the vehicle was already sold 4 days ago. The person who had confirmed the availability about the vehicle was nowhere to be found. Terrible terrible experience. Will never go there again!

They did what they could. I have not borrowed money for a car in 20+ years, so I was treated like a first time buyer. It’s understandable. I take good care of my cars. So, I was disappointed they could not get me financing. Does that mean I get it free like Clay says in his TV commercials?

The people were very nice here. The showroom was spacious and comfortable. They added almost $5000 to the advertised price for something they couldn't quite explain. Claimed I didn't have any credit score anywhere when it's actually 760 (they eventually figured it out.) After standing up and starting to walk out, they brought the price down to where it was advertised, and at the payments I expected. They had me at double that before. Took 10 minutes just to make a copy of my driver's license. The copier was 20 feet away. They pushed extremely hard for gap insurance, etc. in the finance office, but were nice about it. I feel that you need to have a strong personality to deal with Clay Cooley or you will be taken advantage of.

Clay Cooley Chevrolet lied, misrepresented themselves and their vehicles, and took extreme advantage of a senior citizen and veteran. They took my pristine, low mileage Mrecedes E400 coupe and gave me a damaged and dangerous vehicle in return. Don't trust them about anything. Inspect the entire car. Have them put it on a lift so you can visually inspect the undercarriage. Get the CarFax and whatever you can that supports the history of the vehicle. My best recommendation, if you are looking for a "good" used car, is to make Clay Cooley Chevrolet the very last dealer on to list of places to shop. Buyer beware.

I called before I got there to make sure the car was there and they said yes come on in & test drive it. When I got there it "just sold" I started to leave because of the bait & switch but Ryan helped us find a car. If you go to clay cooley Chevrolet in irving only yall to Ryan, he's helpful.

After finding this exact vehicle, the dealership contacted me and set up an appointment to test drive a few hours later. Between the time of the contact and before showing up cargurus emailed me indicating the car was sold the day prior. I called the dealership to verify and was assured the car was on the lot only to be tricked into seeing another car since this one was indeed sold the day prior! Old bait and switch I wasted not only the 40 minutes out of the way it took me to get to the dealership but another 2 hours where they were trying to find me a car on their lot. Manager took over 20 minutes to come and talk to me after saying he would be right back so I just left! I will never return to this dealership!

Like many reviews here, I contacted dealership about specific car. Scheduled appointment to purchase vehicle, and upon arriving was told the vehicle sold 1 hour before my arrival. They wanted to put me in something “newer”. Please don’t waste your time here, plenty of other dealerships with better vehicles!

Price listed was not actual price given once we got to the dealership. Actual price was much higher than anticipated. This listing was originally at $14987 then once we arrived at the dealer they said that the vehicle was on an extended test drive. Then I was contacted later by the dealer saying they had some new incentives that would lower the price of the vehicle. I first asked to confirm that these discounts would apply to this specific vehicle and I was assured that they would . Because I live significantly far from the dealership I wanted to speak to the sales manager about how the price would be affected. When I did speak to the manager he refused to tell me what the new price would be unless I was in the dealership in person. I advised him of my distance issue and he said that he would check with his management team to see if they would pay for my gas if for some reason I wasn't happy with the van or the pricing. This was also not honored once I got to the dealership.

Negotiated the price with the sales men , back and forth till I walked out the door , 2 sales men came running after me saying “ my manager gave me the ok to set on a price I wanted . I go back in put a deposit down. I came in the next day and the “manger” had sold the truck already. It was sold befor I even walked in the day befor he said . BUT he gave his sales guys an ok to agree with me on a price? Made no sense/ lame excuse, Waist of their time and mine.

They responded very quickly and I scheduled a test drive with Mercedes for the next day at 11am. This was about 10 min before they closed. I drove 1.75 hours and got there right at 11am the following day. I asked for Mercedes and the guy I spoke to said she was not in today. His name was Eric i think. Then he had me wait while he attended a short 5 min meeting, only to explain that the vehicle was sold last night and proceeded to try and sell me something else. I would have appreciated a call once a contract on the vehicle had been made, even if I had been in route to the test drive. Also, I noticed that the used car portion was across the highway once I left, so the whole experience seemed very shady. Eric never told me that I was even in the wrong place to look at used cars. I will never go back to this dealer. Too big and too impersonal, even though Eric was polite and respectful when speaking with me.

They built my expectations high. Negotiated a price. Pulled credi then sent me home after 3 hours and said they would call me when paperwork was ready to sign. They never called me back nor they return any of my 6 calls. Won’t ever be able to go back there.

I was contacted several times to come out and look at the car when I got there to work the deal the car was not the advertised price. The salesman told me the car was 3k more than the advertised price.

They had a car posted for a great price, scheduled an appointment to come look at it, and when I get there they dont have the car and claim it was another car listed in the ad. Sales manager came out and apologizes for the misunderstanding and tells me to look at what they have on the lot and they would give me a great deal. I found the same car with slightly more miles and told them if they bring it down to the price they had listed on their ad for the other one, we had a deal. They didnt budge on the price. The ad for the car that doesn't exist is still up 4 days later. Bait and switch tactics. Will never buy from Clay Cooley.

Worst experience. I had 11:00 am appointment. I got there at 10:45 no car they told me that it was in some inventory lot. Keep in mind they called me the night before to confirm my appointment, I waited until 12:30 pm and still no car. I told them I was looking for a red convertible. They wanted to run my credit and show me other cars. I don't believe they had the car that I went to see. Terrible strong arm tactics. Either way don't see Clay.

I traveled out of town to look at this car. Talked to a sales person the day of. When I arrived I was informed the car was sold. Says it takes 48 hours to update the system. Over a week later this car is still on the website with a new memorial day advertisement. They seemed very shady.

Very poor experience. The car didn’t have any pictures or a price listed at the time so I filled out the “speak to a dealer” information. Someone from the dealer calls and I ask them to send me pictures and tell me the price. They refused to tell me the price unless I came into the dealership and when I checked my email for photos it was a stock photo. The person was just overall rude and unhelpful. So I’m going to look at different dealer this weekend.

I purchased this car through Emanuel. He was very attentive and showed great knowledge of the car. He was very helpful throughout the process as was his Mgr. Dustin. They contacted me right away and were polite and not too pushy but did want to make the sale(but of course). They made the sale quick and easy compared to some other dealerships. Only knock I have is I have not got my Corvette Hat yet...

IF this is the way you do business I will not do business with You. I had a terrible experience I came from Kennedale Texas on two occasion to look at this particular vehicle and both time the vehicle was not available first time they said the vehicle had been sold second time they said the vehicle had went to the auction and then today I look on the internet and I see the vehicle is still available very poor way of doing business with customers that want to buy on the spot on each occasions I had scheduled appointments, not happy

I call to ask about the 08 white BMW m3 and one guy told me that they have had it for a few months and a few people inquired about it so I decided to look at it the next day. I went to look at the white 08 m3 and there was confusion of where it was then one guy said it's in the shop then another guy said they just got it in a few days ago and the trans was blown and they aren't selling it.... I will NEVER buy a car from here EVER. I had cash for it too.... makes me not even want to got to any sister dealerships or even buy chevy.

Contacted quickly but the follow on was a bit haphazard. I agreed to asking price and was told by the salesman he would have vehicle particulars to me so I could lock in financing the next morning. The next morning when I asked about the paperwork he told me he was heading into work and would have it to me right away. A half hour later I receive a text from him saying they sold the car the previous night. Very shady at best, I would be careful with whatever they tell you telephonically or via email or text. Although the gentleman I was working with was pleasant, I all good conscience, I could not recommend this dealer. I am going to pick up this same type vehicle from another dealer on Saturday with cash in hand.

Long story short... They list cars online at very attractive prices lower than everyone else to lure you into the dealer. Once you get there they add a $2000 addendum fee for nitrogen filled tires, window security etchings, and a clay Cooley paint guarantee. I was told its non negotiable and is a service done to all their used cars prior to sale. I posted a bad review on their facebook page too and they make several comments saying they will do whatever needed to earn my business..... They weren't willing to do whatever was needed while I was at their dealership. Look at the rest of the reviews here and on Facebook. Lots of dissatisfied people. Stay away from clay Cooley at all costs.

At first there were done communication inconsistencies, but overall, we had an easy, painless, and fun car buying experience. This was my first car I bought myself, and they made this real simple. I love my car, drives and looks like brand new despite it being 3 years old. Thanks Clay Cooley! I love my 2013 Mini Cooper S!

Not a great reception. The mood changed drastically when I said I was only looking and would not be buying the same day. I had to reiterate this 4 times before I was taken seriously. I never felt that I was being heard.

My experience with Clay Cooley was pleasant enough. We made an appointment and showed up on time. The folks at the front didn't know anything about my appointment, so it took some time to get the right people to come help us. After that things went smoothly. We couldn't agree on a price though. Mostly because they didn't have much wiggle room on the price and by the time they added the etc.s it was more than I wanted to spend.

Lied to by manager Derek...We tried to negotiate a deal however the deal was overpriced so I decided to leave, but before I left Derek said if I found a cheaper deal on the same truck to atleast give him "a chance to match it", which I agreed to. That evening I found the exact same truck at another local dealership and I contacted the sales person and let him know. After calling the dealership and talking with Derek he told me that even though the truck was cheaper somewhere else they add on $2,000-$2,500 in an "adenmden" which Clay Cooley Chevrolet adds about a $1,200 adenmden that they don't tell you about until you arive at the dealership. So Derek said he couldn't exactly match the deal but get close however I would have to wait 2 weeks to receive the discounts. I waited 2 weeks and took a day off work to go buy the truck, while I was driving to Clay Cooley Chevrolet I was called by the sales person that he couldn't do the deal today and then he text me that the truck I had to wait on had been sold...needless to say I was lied to and if you deal with this dealership just be warned that the manager named Derek will tell you he wants to "earn your business" but he'll look you in the eye and lie to you.

Dealership set up appointment...but i never heard back from after i sent all the paperwork and its been 4 days now and still have not here anything...at least they can tell me no or something....so last i finally talked to my sales rep i was told he was waitting i guess we still waiting thanks ok so after my first review of the dealership the internet manager calls said he will find out whats going on and call me back well guess what? I'm still waitting and they have all my personal info and still have not said. Anything. It got so bad i called the dealership was getting hung up on and transfer to voice mails put on hold and the hung up on again and still no one has responding to me yet...man it this is how they do business i hate to see who get a car from them and the type of business they do with their lenders....I will will ensure the finance company i work for will not do business with them...thanks for nothing...and still no responds....lol

They priced this SUV at 9,903 and then when I went to the dealership, they added a 3,000 dealership fee. They refused to give me my car keys (they had them to look at my car for a trade-in) until they had me there for hours looking at offers. The next morning I see that they had posted the car at 13,903. Also, thanks to Cargurus I was able to find out that they had lied to me multiple times during our negotiations. Terrible service and the prices are just a lure to get you into the dealership. When you call or email, ask them for a SPECIFIC NUMBER on what the total price of the car will be.

Nice folks but their ad- price was not what they were actually selling the vehicle for. They wanted to add about $2400 for GM certification they had done and another $1100 for some other dealership charge they have. Plus TT&L. So $50,000 is roughly the out the door price. Completely misleading add on Carguru. Loved the car and tried to purchase it at the ad-price, but they would not let go of the "hidden" charges.

I had to wait over 30 min for Brandon to find the keys of the vehicle for a test drive. Aside from TTL they will try to charge over $3k of hidden fees. A $24k vehicle will easily turn into $29k.

They were not very polite here. They advertised a car for $11,935 and when I got there to buy it they slammed me with about $5,000 of hidden fees. The individual that showed me the car didn't really even try to tell me anything about it. He was just kinda there. Served no purpose. The man I was dealing with for monthly prices was a complete child. I have no respect for that individual what so ever. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone to Clay Cooley Chevy in Irving. Not a great experienced at all. If I could go back in time I'd buy a car somewhere else.

I called about a Chevy truck. The salesman said he would get back to me. He did not. After 2 days I called and talked with another salesman. I asked him to confirm that the truck was there. He said he would call me back. He did not. I called him back the next day and he went outside and confirmed that the truck was there. I ask him the price. He said he didn't know but would get it and get back to me. He never called me back. I had cash in my hand to purchase the truck but I never got any help.

Nothing but empty promises. Never called back when they said they would. Treated me like a second rate buyer. There boss said the team wasn't doing well, I certainly understand why. However the indifferent sales group did me a favor, I found another one at a fair price and have bought it. The staff was knowledgeable, prompt and followed through.

Arrived to look at the car, it had a few issues on car fax. Cargurus price was $11,934 and with car fax info I offered $10000 expecting to deal a little. Cooley Chevrolet countered at over $14000. I can't really recommend a dealership who is not serious about selling cars.

They didn't know why the engine was making a sputtering sound while the AC was on. Leakage from the engine was unknown. Damage to back of the hatchback was inaware until I checked it out. This damage was not reported to carfax or me when I went to see ththe vehicle. Maybe this is why the price drop was listed from 16,900 to 11,944. I will not be coming back to this dealership unfortunately.

Wonderful experience, we ended up purchasing a different car for about the same pric. Everyone at Clay Cooley, was terrific. We had a little hiccup of being given only one master key. They sent us to the dodge dealership and paid for a second master key to be made, no questions asked, no hassles. Great experience.

Liers, they said Internet price, but the time you get there they change the price to higher price and said that price is the secondary lowest-priced. Also this dealer trying to sell us a used car as a new They said that the previous owner didn't qualify for the loan and only used it for a weekend, they said will discount $1000.00 but when we tell will pay cash they increase more the price.

Don't advertise a vehicle at a given price with no further mention of having to qualify for various deductions until a conversation pursues with a sales rep and then a general statement is made and we are still left in the dark The whole idea is to get us to drive the miles and get us in the door. A serious cash buyer not interested!
