Are Toyota Sienna models reliable?

• Owners rate the Toyota Sienna between 4.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that older examples can bring age-related wear, so a careful history check and pre-purchase inspection matter.

What should I look for when buying a used Toyota Sienna?

Across all model years, at 72.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 2.0, plus blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking on the Woodland Edition and other higher trim levels.
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 12.3-inch digital driver display.
• Fuel efficiency: According to the EPA, an AWD Sienna should get 35 mpg combined.

Which Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Sienna offers these trims:

• LE: the entry trim with the standard hybrid setup and the core Sienna family-hauler formula.
• XLE: adds a step up in comfort and everyday convenience for shoppers who want more equipment.
• XSE: brings a sportier appearance and feel within the lineup.
• Limited: the upscale choice for buyers who want a more premium Sienna experience.
• Woodland Edition: adds a subtle suspension lift, standard e-AWD, roof rails, a tow hitch, and a 1,500-watt inverter; it suits buyers who want extra traction and utility.
• Platinum: the top trim, adding the most luxury-oriented equipment, including the onboard vacuum and FridgeBox refrigerated box.

What Toyota Sienna do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Sienna years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and a wider spread of prices and deal quality. That usually makes it easier to find the right trim, mileage, and condition for your budget.

What is the Toyota Sienna's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because it points to softer pricing across much of the lineup. A few years are falling more sharply than others, while one year is slightly up, so the pattern is mixed but still generally favorable to buyers.

The 2019 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2019, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
