What Toyota Sequoia do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Sequoia years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Higher-volume years usually draw the most attention because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right price, trim, and condition. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop if you want a broad selection of recent-model Sequoias.

What is the Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

Most model years are moving lower year over year, which creates better opportunities for used buyers. The steepest drops are concentrated in several older and recent-model years, while a few years are changing more gradually. One model year is still edging upward, showing that not every Sequoia is following the same price path.

The 2021, 2019, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Toyota Sequoia now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −9.12% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −8.81%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 36.4% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 38.4%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $69,780. The Toyota Sequoia offers a roomy, truck-based character that suits families and towing-focused buyers.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: A twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 makes 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, and an electric motor between the engine and 10-speed automatic transmission can add 48 hp and 184 lb-ft to aid acceleration.
• Tech: The Sequoia has a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, and moving up just one trim level or checking an option box on the base SR5 trim brings a 14-inch touchscreen.
• Safety: Toyota equips the Sequoia with its Safety Sense 2.5 suite of standard safety features, and also standard but not part of Safety Sense 2.5 are blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system.
• Starting price: Prices start at $67,920, including a mandatory $2,195 destination fee, for the SR5.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
