Which Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Sequoia offers these trims:

• SR5: The entry trim brings the core Sequoia formula, cloth upholstery, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, and the option to add 4WD; it’s the best-value starting point if you want the Sequoia’s capability without moving up the ladder.
• Limited: This trim adds real leather, and it can be paired with 4WD as an option; it suits buyers who want a more upscale cabin while staying near the lower end of the range.
• Platinum: This trim adds contrast stitching and more luxury-focused presentation, making it a strong choice if you want a richer interior feel.
• 1794 Edition: This Texas-themed luxury model adds a more upscale angle to the Sequoia’s utility-first mission and suits buyers who want character with premium touches.
• TRD Pro: This off-road model adds an off-road-tuned suspension with 2.5-inch Fox internal bypass coil-overs and rear remote-reservoir shocks, plus a front grille light bar, an aluminum front skid plate, all-terrain tires, and standard 4WD.

What Toyota Sequoia do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Sequoia years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they combine broad availability with strong deal shares, giving you more chances to find the right trim, mileage, and price. They also sit close to the newest generation, which helps keep feature content and shopper interest high.

What is the Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

Most model years in the table are moving lower year over year, which creates better opportunities for used buyers. A couple of years are still edging upward, so the pattern is not uniform across the lineup. Overall, the strongest price pressure is concentrated in the newer and older ends of the range, while a few years remain comparatively steady.

The 2021 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2019, 2021, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Toyota Sequoia now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −8.58% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −8.54%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: A twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 makes 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, and an electric motor between the engine and 10-speed automatic transmission can add 48 hp and 184 lb-ft to aid acceleration.

• Safety: Toyota equips the Sequoia with its Safety Sense 2.5 suite of standard safety features, and also standard but not part of Safety Sense 2.5 are blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system.
