Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear emergency braking; adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition on the SE.
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: 26 miles per gallon combined.

Which Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander offers these trims:

• ES: The entry trim gives you the Outlander’s core setup, including the 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the standard Yamaha premium sound system. It’s the value-focused starting point.
• SE: This trim adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition, making it the best-value choice for shoppers who want the strongest mix of equipment and everyday usability.
• SEL: The top trim adds quilted leather seats, soft-touch surfaces, a digital dash display with the Tech Package, a panoramic sunroof, a rear camera mirror, a head-up display, and a premium leather interior with the Premium Package.
• Platinum Edition: This SEL-based edition adds a light grey interior, special badging, and puddle lights.

What Mitsubishi Outlander do most buyers choose?

The Mitsubishi Outlander years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

Higher-volume years usually give you more choices, which can make it easier to compare trims, colors, mileage, and pricing. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop if you want a broad mix of listings and deal opportunities.

What is the Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

Most model years in this set are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That pattern can work in your favor as a used buyer because it opens up more value on newer examples. The smaller declines on older years suggest those models have been changing more gradually in price.

The 2016, 2019, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

• 2025: 7/10
• 2022: 8/10
• 2018: 8/10
• 2016: 7/10

For the safest used buy, the 2018 and 2022 models both post the highest confirmed score of 8/10.
